If this guy ends up keeping Trump from winning

Dude just needs to realize that he lost this campaign and quit. Even if he has been completley wronged by the media, he is not going to fix his image in weeks and he has pretty much zero chance of winning the election. Take them to court, do whatever you got to do on your own, but end the campaign!

Talk about a huge irony given he was Trump's choice for the race.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

Dude - if a person has a D or an R by their name. They are 99% corrupt and probably not a very good person.

Politics has devolved into a game of "who is worse than this person" when it comes to picking someone.

Both sides need to be removed and start over with NO MEDIA coverage allowed. Candidates have to run in their voting precincts door to door, town halls, grass roots, etc

Maybe that will start to clean out some of the garbage.
Well I guess to quote the late Burgess Meredith, "you can wish in one hand and crap in the other...See which one fills up first". I guess folks are cool with trying to make America great again by overlooking the immorality of elected officials. Sounds like the answer is just 'meh'. If so, then I don't want those folks using their faith and certainly not our Lords name in their elections. Just sad our only options for nominees have less moral discipline than probably many of those voting for them.

Democrats have zero room to talk about morality since they have zero.

Take you're trolling somewhere else.

trump called mark robinson "mlk on steroids" and "martin luther king times two" when he endorsed him for governor during the primaries. this definitely wasn't a passive circumstantial endorsement, it was quite enthusiastic.

This was so predictable. National Review has an interesting take - I completely blame Trump for endorsing people who can't win (see Georgia 2022 Senate race, Mehmet Oz, and Kari Lake). But NR seems to blame MAGA. I still think that if Trump had picked someone normal, MAGA would have supported that person.

Quote:

But it is appropriate to ask why Mark Robinson cruised to the GOP nomination in 2024 when the contents of his opposition file were already an open secret in state politics for years, so much so that he was making terrified excuses for them in private to donors well over a year ago. What was known about him by all at that point to name but one thing, his long history of making antisemitic comments and curiously ambivalent statements about Nazi Germany should have been more than disqualifying. The reason why they weren't is twofold: most obviously, because Donald Trump endorsed him in 2023, and his endorsement both chased other potential candidates from the race and cemented the vote of the rank-and-file.

But there is more to it than just that, for Robinson was likely to win his primary regardless of Trump's intervention: He is a bomb-thrower skilled at inflaming his right-wing audiences and playing to January 6 truthers and other cranks. The Republican Party, beginning with its voters, needs to recognize that choosing candidates based on their offensiveness and fringy vibes is a formula for futility. Chalk up the North Carolina governorship as another office lost for the GOP by forfeit.

MAGA will vote for whoever Trump tells them to, no matter how good or bad the candidate might be.

All that matters is Trump told them to vote for that candidate.

His whole own-the-libs shtick guaranteed he was going to get the nomination, whether he had Trump's endorsement or not. It's who the GOP primary voters want.

It also guarantees defeat in a still-purple state like NC, even before the stuff came out last week.

Yes Mark Robinson was a candidate Trump should have went against. A black L. Gov. who was very popular at that time. Real smart there Rapier. It was neck and neck at one point. He, at that time, was not a bad candidate. You probably would have called Trump a dumbass, had he not endorsed him.

Because Trump can do nothing right according to you. All you and a lot of others on here do is bash him at every turn. Yet he is trending in the polls and on path to victory. This election is not going how you want. You so badly want Trump to lose, just so you can bash him haha so ridiculous.

A lot of people have lost in the primaries that Trump endorsed. I know because every time it happens, one of yall start a new thread bashing Trump and making fun of the guy

So yall are full of crap. And Trump has endorsed good candidates, yall just notice when they lose. It is dumb. RINOs put a dent in the immigration advantage for this election. Dick Cheney endorsed Harris and Bush said he was writing in a candidate. Maybe yall should stop bashing MAGA and bash the old RINO guard of the party, they back stab the guy every chance they get. he was definitely a bad candidate back in march when he got trump's endorsement. plenty was said and written about this at the time. he's been trailing way behind stein from the jump.

that he was revealed recently to be a turbo whackjob gooner sleazeball doesn't suddenly mean he was previously a good candidate. trump's only real litmus test for an endorsement seems to be "does this person say nice things about me" and robinson is just the latest of a long string of terrible candidates he's endorsed that cost the gop the race.

Just by the simple rule of averages, Trump is going to endorse plenty of crazies in safe districts that are going to win. It's when he endorses the crazies in purple districts that he's been taking L after L.

Explain Missouri's Gubernatorial Republican primary.

Jay Ashcroft (Mo. Sec. of State)
Endorsed by Donald Trump, Former Mo. Ar. Gov. Mike Huckabee, and NGA Mo. Right To Life.

Bill Eigel (Mo. State Senator)
Endorsed by Donald Trump, Fla Congressman Matt Gaetz

Mike Kehoe (Mo. Lt. Governor)
Endorsed by Donald Trump, Incumbent Mo. Gov. Mike Parson, and a slew of Labor Unions and Mo NGAs

Kehoe won the primary (39.4%), followed by Eigel (32.6%), then Ashcroft (23.3%). Not being a Jim Crow state, no run-off, largest vote wins.

It is unclear whether Trump had just forgot who he had previously endorsed, if all these guys just constantly gushed over Trump, or Trump just wanted to be backing a winner, so he went with all three.

ETA: Correct mistake of identifying Mike Huckabee as a former Missouri Governer (actually, Arkansas). Hey, I was close.

Give me the list of these so called bad candidates and the person you would have picked that would have won. I can think of two. Passing on McCormick in PA last election and endorsing Kari Lake this election, not previous. She was a good Governor candidate.

McCormick likely wins and the Sheriff in Arizona probably would be winning in the polls. Idk of any other that blatantly stand out. I'm all ears.

Guessing you didn't read the actual story or wade through the whole thread.

Watching porn is not a scandal.

Now substitute "watching porn" for "posting frequently on a hardcore porn message board, calling yourself a Black Nazi, talking about wishing you could join the Klan and own slaves, and writing extremely detailed graphic fantasies about sodomizing and urinating on your wife's sister."
