need rules that mail in votes must be RECEIVED AND COUNTED before EOD on election day.
Just move up the receipt date so everyone knows.
otherwise they are free to drop off their ballot at a local ballot box/collection place.
How about just getting rid of mail in ballots except for the military stationed out of state or country. Everyone else go to a voting place.Quote:
How do we know a mail in ballot is sent by a qualified voter?

However, in two critical battleground states Pennsylvania and Wisconsin the red mirage may persist. Lawmakers in both states have refused to pass legislation allowing local election officials to open and flatten out ballots a process known as "preprocessing" before the polls open on Election Day. This puts election officials in a difficult position, churning through both mail ballots and in-person votes at the same time.

Nowhere does the legislation require the individuals who process the Election Day ballots be the same individuals who process the MIBs.Waffledynamics said:C@LAg said:

On its face, this seems like something that needs to change. However, I question if this is a problem anywhere else that doesn't show it.

To make it easier, why not just have everyone go through the Social Security Administration and vote through their website? I can't think of an easier and faster way to vote and get results.PCC_80 said:C@LAg said:

THIS ! ! ! Way to many people that are stupid, lazy and completely uninformed being allowed to vote. Hopefully they won't bother voting if it requires any amount of time or effort.Quote:
Voting is a privilege. It doesn't necessarily need to be convenient or easy.
If you believe that your voting is an important part of our government process, then you will make an effort to vote no matter how inconvenient it might be.

Yeah, elections were never this close before. You can declare a winner when someone wins by 30%. Not so fast when they win by 17,000 votes. But even those elections the final count wasn't final for days. This entire idea that taking time to count votes is fishy is ignorant.
