How do we know a mail in ballot is sent by a qualified voter?

need rules that mail in votes must be RECEIVED AND COUNTED before EOD on election day.

Just move up the receipt date so everyone knows.

otherwise they are free to drop off their ballot at a local ballot box/collection place.

How about just getting rid of mail in ballots except for the military stationed out of state or country. Everyone else go to a voting place.

I'm always stunned at the faith some people put in the government'. MOFOs can't even count votes.

If every other country in the world can have election results by the end of the voting day then why can't the U.S.

Even Maduro could manufacture 30% more votes in less than a day.

If the democrats want to make up votes they should be more competent. This bogusness of taking days to count votes in democrat districts just is more evidence that democrats are not capable of running the government.

However, in two critical battleground states Pennsylvania and Wisconsin the red mirage may persist. Lawmakers in both states have refused to pass legislation allowing local election officials to open and flatten out ballots a process known as "preprocessing" before the polls open on Election Day. This puts election officials in a difficult position, churning through both mail ballots and in-person votes at the same time.

On its face, this seems like something that needs to change. However, I question if this is a problem anywhere else that doesn't show it.

Nonsense. The Democrats fight every single effort to make elections more secure. Photo ID. Purge dead people from voter rolls. Purge people no longer in the district. Limited mail in ballots. Signature verification. Receipt of mail in ballots by Election Day. They've created a system with numerous flaws that can be exploited for political gain and people like yourself seem ok with that.
The federal government was never meant to be this powerful.

Same crap happened in 2020. Put stories like this out in the media during the run up to the election to make anything nefarious look legitimate. Bad news for Trump.

Because legislators will "exception-to-death" any changes made.

For example: what about disabled people? Suddenly a flood of disabled exemptions from the rule come in, to allow them to cast mail in ballots.

For every rule or law, there is always a "what if" or "but but but."

I agree that mail in voting should be done away with, except for the cases you stated...I'm just at the point where I don't think there is anything that can be done constructively, that cannot be undone by bad legislators; unless the American Public chooses to elect responsible people.

Nowhere does the legislation require the individuals who process the Election Day ballots be the same individuals who process the MIBs.

Common sense dictates that more bipartisan volunteers would be needed. If you have to concurrently count MIBs with Election Day ballots, you have more teams. Period.

The fact that the assumption is that these poor overloaded election workers must count all of these ballots is a false flag that actually raises the suspicion that something is afoot. The county clerk should rely on both County Party organizations to provide enough volunteers to get the job done in a timely matter.

Looking at the last election, it appears the party volunteers only had the role of "observer" - in a room that could be many feet away and even potentially shielded from view. The only ones "authorized" to count ballots were employees of the election officials. THIS is the problem.

Or rather, reality has shaped the facts.

Cheating can be in various forms both active and passive. Examples of both have already been shared.

To make it easier, why not just have everyone go through the Social Security Administration and vote through their website? I can't think of an easier and faster way to vote and get results.

If someone has an easier and faster way, please share.

Its also using propaganda to manage expectations.

Remember this from the same paper that had an op-ed calling for doing away with the US Constitution.

Everyone working in that department that had anything to do with publishing that seditious crap should be arrested for advocating treason. Its one thing to trash congress or a president but you dont F* with the Constitution.

So when the NYT attempts to "manage expectations" you know trouble is coming. This story says so more than anything Trump himself can say.

The US has been able to hand count ballots in a day for ~250 years.

It now takes several months when we have technology that should make counting ballots instantaneous.

Voting is a privilege. It doesn't necessarily need to be convenient or easy.

If you believe that your voting is an important part of our government process, then you will make an effort to vote no matter how inconvenient it might be.

If you need three weeks of early voting and a mail in ballot because you don't want to be bothered to show up at a polling place and possibly to wait in a line, then you probably won't be bothered to research the most qualified persons to do the jobs that that you are hiring them to do.

THIS ! ! ! Way to many people that are stupid, lazy and completely uninformed being allowed to vote. Hopefully they won't bother voting if it requires any amount of time or effort.

They have no clue who any of the candidates are and often vote for the one that has the best hair or a nice smile. They are the reason we have the problems we have in this country.

Yeah, elections were never this close before. You can declare a winner when someone wins by 30%. Not so fast when they win by 17,000 votes. But even those elections the final count wasn't final for days. This entire idea that taking time to count votes is fishy is ignorant.

Yep, not fishy at all when recounts only go one way...
