I don't think she would have stayed quiet. She endorsed Biden last time and her popularity has only grown since then. This was from her documentary when she decided she was going to endorse Marsha Blackburn's opponent. In her mind she has a duty to not stay silent and be vocal about what she believe in.

1. I think she is a talented singer, songwriter, and performer. The show I went to last year was probably one of the top 3 concerts I've ever attended just from a pure entertainment standpoint. I don't know that I would say I am obsessed with her more than any other one of my favorite bands (I'm definitely a bigger Weezer and Vampire Weekend fan).

I just saw REK and Friends at Floore's on Labor Day and that was hands down the best entertainment I've had from a concert ever...even though it was drizzling.

Just pure giving a **** about the fans.

And it was a FREE concert. Couldn't buy tickets. All those folks and REK were there ONLY to make the fans happy.

BTW, it ended with everyone coming on stage and singing You Never Even Call Me By My Name.

I've lost count of how many different bands and groups I've seen live. My very first concert was the beach boys and I've had the privilege of seeing some amazing groups. Hell years ago I ran into Jandek in the crowd at Freepress Summer Fest. We chit chatted while watching Iggy and the Stooges and no one around recognized him (neither did I at the time).


Likewise I would suggest you go to a Taylor Swift concert. The production is incredible. She sings everything live, plays instruments live, does choreography, etc over the course of 3.5 hours for 44 songs. The stages and set pieces are top notch and incorporate some really cool tech.

Half the people in this country WORSHIP people who in all other eras of history were nothing but jesters. Some of the richest people in our country add nothing, do nothing. Our focus on elevating entertainers is sickening. At the same time, those same people look down on the person in the middle of the country who grows their food. There's one or two songs of hers that I thought were pretty catchy a few years ago, but I skimmed through that Eras tour on prime a few months ago and no joke. Every song sounds very similar, 95% of them are about hating men for treating her bad and getting back at them. She even had this one song about how crappy men, something about women in business are and you have to be a botch or you are treated crappy in business and men are basically ****, something like that and she's a ****ing billionaire. How many men can get up there and shake their ass and claim they're oppressed.

She is very pretty, does have some talent, can play the piano and the guitar, she can't dance. All she did was basically strut, stick her ass out and rotate it around in short pants and tight outfits.

Now the production quality of the stage in the costumes was good, but literally most of the songs had the same rambling tune to it and the same message. Very few positive songs about love.

They even acknowledge with Taylor that "I'm the problem, it's me" and then wallow with her in empathy about choosing a guy they knew would be a destructive influence. In my experience, the baggage they carry from the decisions they've made is honestly pretty sad. They're otherwise outstanding individuals, but I guess Taylor's taken over as the spokesperson for their pain.
