The wheels continue to fall of this weirdo's train:

The House Education and the Workforce Committee issued a subpoena Wednesday for Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the Democratic vice presidential nominee, in relation to a nonprofit in his state that has
been charged with defrauding the government during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Minnesota-based Feeding Our Future (FOF) has been accused of misusing $250 million in taxpayer funds that were meant to go to hungry children.

The federal government has charged more than 70 people associated with the nonprofit, and five of them have been convicted of fraud. The group allegedly submitted the names of fake children receiving free meals during the pandemic.

Education Chair Virginia Foxx (R-N.C.) issued subpoenas for Walz, Minnesota Commissioner of Education Willie Jett, U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and Agriculture Inspector General Phyllis Fong.

"Statements in the press by you and your representatives indicate that you and other executive officers were involved, or had knowledge of, MDE's [Minnesota Department of Education's] administration of the FCNP [Federal Child Nutrition Program] and responsibilities and actions regarding the massive fraud," Foxx said in the letter to Walz.

The governor was given until Sept. 18 to provide documents and the requested information to the committee.

Its sounds like nothing. Someone misused covid funds and it looks like they have subpoenaed records relating to the non profit and the school lunch program. Seems like a pretty routine practice when investigating fraud.

They appear to be hinting that he is involved or should be liable because he is the governor. If that is really what they are going with, every governor should probably get ready to for some subpoenas as well.

That the R ticket is falling behind... errr... I mean that he did something bad. Ah. Remember when both parties tried to point out why the other side had terrible solutions for today's proble. Yeah, me too. Now, it's just take him to court for having documents in the wrong place or making a phone call or really anything. Damn, our system has been contaminated. NOBODY, despite Trump's stupid ass lock her up chants, has cancered up the justice system more than Biden and the modern day Dems.

Doubtful, but it's timed perfectly that it'll be relevant for Vance to bring up during his debate.

Defrauding the taxpayers of $250M is a pretty damn bad, especially in the name of saving the children. Walz and his administration is stonewalling Congress's probe (since Nov 2023) over his admin's "oversight" or lack there of in how the funds were dispersed by FOF.

They didn't hint at anything. It was explicitly stated:

Quote:

"Statements in the press by you and your representatives indicate that you and other executive officers were involved, or had knowledge of, MDE's [Minnesota Department of Education's] administration of the FCNP [Federal Child Nutrition Program] and responsibilities and actions regarding the massive fraud," Foxx said in the letter to Walz.

Just the 100th notch on this complete fraud's belt by now.

I am sure if they think he was involved in the fraud there would be some evidence or they would at least accuse him of the fraud right?

Because the statement above is the most noncommittal way possible of doing so. They could just as likely be stating that he was aware the MDE administered the FCNP.

It's always the "or had knowledge" that for so many times in the past, for the left and right, that became nothing burgers. Still, this coming out now is perfect for the right to use against him, even if it doesn't resolve anything regarding Walz.
