Chase Bank Glitch: The Alarming Rise of Fraudulent Banking Exploits

The recent buzz surrounding the so-called "Chase Bank glitch" has caused significant alarm among customers and banking professionals alike. This viral scheme, fueled by the fraudulent deposit of fake checks and the exploitation of loopholes in the banking system, has left many account holders grappling with unexpected negative balances and account holds.

As Chase begins to crack down on these fraudulent transactions, affected customers are enduring severe repercussions, including seven-day holds and extreme negative balances. The bank has yet to officially comment on the viral nature of these incidents, but social media is flooded with frustrated accounts from customers who are navigating the fallout of this alarming situation.

Something seems off about this to me.....feels kinda like some sort of banker propaganda/intel operation/Oceans 11 heist thing instead of a plain old IT "glitch".

Isn't that just check kiting?

I'm going to invoke the 48 hour rule. This feels like a scam. Not sure how the scammers would benefit from it but that's not mine to worry about. This isn't real.
The federal government was never meant to be this powerful.

Ya, sounds like check kiting but at an unsophisticated level.

Nothing is free and the bank doesn't glitch in your favor.

This happened at the ATM next to the Tap when I was in College one night. It would give you twice what you ask for. Long line of people until it ran out of money. BUT guess what, the Bank's aren't stupid, it should the correct amount on our statements in a few days.

There is no free money, unless your a politician

None of them will face consequences for this at all because the left will say they are literally too stupid to understand cause and effect (they are but that's not the point).

You cannot have a civil society with people like this. It does not work.

Of course it's a scam.

So, you take advantage of a glitch that lets you withdraw money before the bad check you deposited is processed. How is your negative balance unexpected? Seems to me the only people affected were those two abused the glitch. FAFO seems appropriate here.

In one of those videos someone had a negative 600k. Wtf do you even do with that as the bank? That person is just going to abandon depositing money in it right? They will never be able to get it positive.

Well, they had to deposit fake checks to do this, so they committed a federal crime. Prosecution isn't up to local DA's. I'm would assume Chase has some influence with the feds to move prosecutions along if they don't get their money back.

We need to admit that some cultures are better than others and it has nothing to do with race.

What is this "check" of which you people speak?

Seriously if I deposit a check for $200, my bank would me draw on that immediately. I'm sure there is a limit in place, and I would not be able to draw on a $655,000 check (real or fake).

So is that the glitch, that there is no limit programmed? Like they did a software update late Friday on a holiday weekend without getting all the bugs out first?

GOOD. I hope they get an overdraft fee based on a percentage.

I'm telling ya it's a heist of some sort. The street people are just the distraction.

The heist crew put out that story, monitored and made it go viral, once it gained enough views and the fake check transaction volume was high enough, they ran their heist.

The idiots on the street gave them the cover they needed.

Of course JPM is a pretty sophisticated bank......they'll find their money quicker than the FBI ever will.

I agree 100%. The era or prosecuting blacks for these crimes is over. Not a single person will ever go to jail for this and they will all get away with it.

You'd be a moron to do this under a legit account tied to your name and valid info. If you're going to do this then you'd better do it under an account tied to an untraceable alias that you can walk away from. Idiots.

Member when all those Social Security numbers were hacked......

Quote:

If your Social Security number was stolen in the massive theft of a reported 2.9 billion records last December, you can check to see if your personal information was leaked in the National Public Data breach and take steps to guard your data. Here's how.

According to an August statement from National Public Data -- a data broker that sells personal information to private investigators, consumer public record sites, human resources and staffing agencies -- "a third-party bad actor" hacked into the data and leaked the stolen information on the dark web. National Public Data obtained the information by scraping nonpublic sources without consent, according to a proposed class action lawsuit. In response, a House of Representatives committee has opened an investigation.

Upon further reflection, I agree as well. Chase will simply write this off rather than get into a PR battle with the left where someone tries to justify this as reparations for some last misdeed by Chase.

When did this turn into a "black people" thing? Yall really think there aren't white people stupid enough to try this? I've generally thought the complaints about F16 being racist are unfounded but in this case it's accurate.
