After finding out about Grant Cardone's support of Donald Trump he went on a drunken rant about Grant commuting fraud. It was during a vaccine debate on clubhouse.

John's anti slap motion to dismiss was denied, now he's being deposed. Grant has already said publicly he won't settle.

Grant earns up to 500 million a year these days since 10X health took off. John is unemployed.

This could be a landmark case that will bankrupt the former CEO.

Accountability. A good lesson for this Democrat. Many more need a similar lesson.

If there was actual accountability, 20% or more of Americans (half from each side's extremes) would be in court.

The entire post.

In 2023 T-Mobile CEO John Legere discovered I was a supporter of @realDonaldTrump & @ElonMusk, he started making FALSE & DAMAGING ACCUSATIONS ABOUT ME, MY COMPANY, and my FINANCES, even suggested I committed fraud. NONE OF THIS WAS TRUE NOR DID Legere HAVE ANY EVIDENCE to support any such claims.

Free speech is a fundamental right to all, spreading slander, making false, reckless and damaging claims about another is against the law and not protected by free speech.

John Legere, received a $140,000,000 payout to retire early from the Mobile giant. Whether he was ousted or simply a burn out, only he and the board know the truth. Legere hasn't worked since and he was publicly denied employment by Elon.

Legere has an accounting & finance degree from an elite school, and as a privileged highly educated person knows it would be reckless to make financial claims about another without access to information.

Keep in mind Legere was trusted by T-Mobile to testify to the senate about the T-Mobile-Sprint merger. This is not a person that can claim ignorance.

Legere also claims publicly he built his career as a skilled "magenta" marketer who understands the impact of brand and influence. He attacked sprint & Att repeatedly suggesting they didn't understand marketing or the power of social media.

The out of work ceo emphasized repeatedly on recorded public interviews, @cnbc & @business the measurable financial value of trust to a company and how the the erosion of that trust can be irreparable.

If false information is ever circulated about you, with the intention to cause damage or doubt, it's crucial to stand up and defend yourself no matter the cost.

How do you ever fix or remove the doubt created by false claims? How do you clean up the internet once social media influencers and click baiters start spreading the untruths virally to tens of millions. Legere knows all this.

My dad told me when I was only eight, "your name is the most important thing you have. People may not like you but they have no right to damage your name. Stand for something & always stand up for your name."

This one is interesting and I don't know enough about the specific claims or alleged incidents but I do have some exposure to the men in the dispute.

John Legere used to be an exec at Dell in the late 1990s when I worked there and I was impressed with what he was doing at T-Mobile up until he got Covid crazy (I had given him a pass on the TDS and "Ally" messaging).

My first exposure to Grant Cardone was in 2018 when I watched some video of his about sales lead generation. Later, I saw all these claims coming out about Grant Cardone being a shyster. Maybe he is but I really like his intensity which is what you need in Enterprise Sales where you have to bring your A Game - every single day.

No idea how this one will turn out but it will be interesting to watch. Probably settle out of court for some undisclosed amount.

Given what was said, I don't think Cardone wants to settle. I think he has Legere dead to rights for slander and intends to get his pound of flesh to make an example out of him. This idea that you can decide to tell a bunch of lies about somebody to try to damage them and their business just because you don't like their political leanings is crazy and needs to be punished vindictively until people learn to stop doing it. I hope Cardone brings the pain and takes Legere to the cleaners.

Cardone is a unique individual. 100% money driven and will do anything and everything to squeeze a penny out of every grandma he comes across. He has zero ability to relate to the common man and hasn't been able to advise young or new investors for decades. His techniques are morally void. But has the man done anything illegal? Not that there is evidence of. Has everything he's ever touched performed extremely well? You bet. Does any of it translate to a real estate market and an economy that doesn't inherently create value primarily from the value of the dollar being destroyed? No. When will it matter? Who knows.
"H-A: In return for the flattery, can you reduce the size of your signature? It's the only part of your posts that don't add value. In its' place, just put "I'm an investing savant, and make no apologies for it", as oldarmy1 would do."

I agree with the bolded part for sure. Especially after escaping from California and working for a Bay Area based company.

I found this article describing what the beef was all about. There are a few spicy comments in there but I think Cardone is going to have a hard time proving that Legere's comments caused him to lose $100M. But in Florida, or in 2024 who knows what standard of proof you need to make your case.

I think it's interesting that there's a Scientology angle in play too.

John started blasting grant's business practices, and Grant gave him the opportunity to walk the comments back and clarify.

John doubled down and started blasting Grant for his religion after that.

He's toast.

I don't know enough about the details to know what his likelihood of proving a specific dollar value of loss is, but to me, the "attempt" to cause that kind of damage to somebody's name/reputation/businesses should be punished the same as if they actually accomplished it. Just because Cardone can't necessarily prove Legere actually damaged him for $100M worth of damage doesn't mean he can't prove that Legere was attempting to do it.

I think slander should be treated like murder or assault. Just because the person might not have succeeded in causing actual quantifiable damage doesn't mean they were not trying to do so, which in my mind makes it a form of assault. It would be a tough line to find the right balance on. Calling a guy a bull**** artist is an insult that should be covered under the first amendment, but calling a guy guilty of fraud and saying he is going to be arrested in a venue where potential business associates or investors can hear it is much more serious.

WTH does this comment even mean? If you don't want to respond, perhaps the 6 other members can explain since they "liked" it?

If this a rebuke of Cardone's suit, what exactly do y'all feel is erroneous; is he the victim of slander or not?

He's just a character. That is all. Have had personal experience with him. He's hilarious but quite the unique character. Calm down sir.

No qualms with his handling of this situation. At all. Carry on.
