You are making the point for me. This wasn't just a case of an accidental bad product. Bad decisions were made intentionally that inevitably produced that bad product.

Woke hurt this series. The product being the suck hurt this series.

But the single biggest reason it bombed is the same reason Furiosa bombed.

Girl power/girl boss fatigue. As noted on the E board, Kennedy/Lucasfilm has spent a decade chasing an audience that doesn't exist. Complete over saturation of girl everything in to action, adventure, sci-fi, fantasy, etc, has turned off the young(er) male audience. Films/series in these genres will under perform at best and completely bomb at worst without a solid young male audience.

This. Gen Z boys look around and they probably hardly know a single girl their age who knows how to change a lightbulb or even cook a half-edible dish. They certainly cannot physically fend for themselves. Having a fictional "strong female" every once in a while is one thing...but being pounded over the head with it constantly? It's just too big of a plothole to overcome for many. Thieves almost exclusively target females in "jugging" type crimes because they know that they are typically less aware of their surroundings and pose basically zero physical threat at all.

On average, they have normal sized jaws.

Did not watch any of the show. I read too much about it beforehand. Cannot watch a Star Wars series with a Jedi or Padawan fatter than I am.

Every time one of these woke shows or acts are canceled is a good thing. But I think Hollywood is too ideological to break away from continuing to do it. They're too entrenched in believing it's their duty to win over hearts and minds.

Story was bad. Acting was poor. Casting was abysmal. Not surprising it bombed.

I thought one of the best characters from different Star Wars steaming series was Cara Dune. It was strongly implied she was a lesbian, but they didn't beat you over the head with it. It was an inside joke for the grown-ups. But then they fired Gina Carano for daring to think for herself.
