These days, the vast majority of people don't watch ESPN outside of when actual games are being aired. This has resulted in layoffs for them due to revenue loss. Their daily shows are not cutting it anymore.

Funny how most of the people being fired from espn over the last 3 or 4 years have one thing in common.

I think so too. It's hilarious. Shows he's got a good sense of humor.

Interesting music choice but he's taking the highroad here.

Thankful for so many people in my time at ESPN that helped me grow because they are some of the best in the business.

From the broadcast booth to the studio and ESPECIALLY the people many of you never see behind the camera.

They are the REAL MVPs and sacrifice so much time with their families just to ensure people like myself in front of the camera even have the opportunity to shine.

There were so many awesome experiences and moments that my family and I will never forget from the last 3 years.

What people sometimes fail to realize is none of this is possible without you guys, the FANS. So THANK YOU to everyone who has supported my family through my playing days and broadcast career so far.

We love you guys and will continue to seek and defend the truth while telling athletes' stories the right way.

No one can say RGIII wasn't having fun when broadcasting. I thought he was pretty damn entertaining.

He did get away with several comments because he was black. On one hand, I don't care that he said those things because it shouldn't be an issue. On the other hand, it's hypocritical and would not be allowed by others.

I remember when she changed her name after getting married, I saw an article where they interviewed her and the report was shocked that she did changed her name as she was already well known and had an established brand. She said she thought it would be disrespectful to her husband to not take on his name so it was a simple decision. I always thought that was admirable being on a national stage when you have first year lawyers and doctors who have done nothing career wise that won't change their names because they "are known professionally" by their maiden name already.

ESPN, a once great sports network, has become just as bad as MSNBC and the like.

News and sports media has new economic now. Why pay an announcer big money unless they bring a new audience. If you can toss in a much lower replacement for RGIII or Ponder, and the audience stay the same, they're expendable. If she made $1m/yr, they can replace her with no lost audience for <$200k.

ESPN, and others, should only pay big money to those who bring in new audiences like McAfee or the Mannings. Smart business.

I do not watch ESPN for anything other than specific sporting events. I mute the sound and only watch the game. I would be happy to have no talking heads.
