I was impacted by Deltas' struggle with the attack and they were the best airline I've ever dealt with in a situation like this. They were open and honest about what they could provide me as far as rebooking and then hotels, food, and transportation while I was stuck. So much better than my experiences with United.

"ladies and gentlemen" are character assessments. I'd bet less than a quarter of air travelers fall into those categories.

I have a friend whose kids were supposed to fly home from visiting their grandparents on a Wed or Thurs and they weren't informed until 20 minutes prior to the flight that all unaccompanied minors weren't allowed to fly until the following Monday or Tuesday. Needless to say they were upset, after they took the time to get to the airport and go through security. Very poor communication. I get most of the airlines are poor at customer service these days, but I would have been livid too. Especially when the other airlines were considerably less affected by what happened.

I don't understand how those people go to work every day knowing that the normal, contributing employees can't stand them and think their position is worthless. . It's like being the safety guy in the oilfield. No one really cares what you think because your job is made up and most times, impeding others doing theirs.

Yet they have no problem saying:

"now boarding our first class customers" - yep, that definitely makes me feel worse than being called a gentlemen
or
"now boarding our Platinum Medallion members" - yep, I don't fly or spend enough per year to make this list..so you just make me feel like **** and less important.

'Gentlemen' is also a staple of copspeak.

Doesn't matter what the hell happened some cop will describe the perp as a gentleman on live tv.

The good news based on that picture I assume her next course of action is wider seats to accommodate lol fats.

She flies Business/First all the time, and assumes all seat are the same size...DEI after all.

She would refuse to fly anywhere if she were mandated to sit in economy like us commoners, force fit into a 18" wide seat, that only reclines 15...

If DL has decided that DEI is their brand that will drive everything else which is what this idiot lady is saying, then safety of flight will suffer as will operational quality. This is simple stuff. Any airline worth their salt makes safety of flight and operations their #1 priority because that's what they do day in and day out.

I've seen the stats on airline recovery from the Crowdstrike event and DL performed the worst of the airlines by a long shot. AA was recovered within 24 hours and DL was still struggling 3-4 days into it.

Not saying the other airlines aren't doing the same equity crap, but if DL has made it their #1 top down focus then I won't be flying them. Thankfully, I live in a part of the US where they are not prevalent.

Here's Pete pushing back against some of the disasters Delta has Happi lately. Most of these are rules that he put in place during his tenure as Department of transportation. It's a good thing to watch in case you are stuck on the tarmac too long or have a flight canceled by the airline. You have rights.
