To be fair, Trump could have handled that journalist better and won over some black voters. But Trump isn't a great debater, he's....Trump. A little brash and in your face - it is who he is. I don't know how you can watch Trump's performance and think it was good. He was totally unprepared to dismantle lady in blue. He hardly rejected any of the false premises and seemingly had no prepared response.

Example:

Frustrating to listen to blue lady state the DEI acronym as "literally the definition" as if she was so smart. Then even more frustrating that Trump didn't point out to define "DEI Hire"...not DEI acronym.

Yes, to all of this. Also, the question about how he says that the judicial system was rigged against him and did he think that was applicable to blacks as well. He could have gone after Kamala's prosecution of minor drug offenses while smoking week herself along with withholding information that would exonerate black men and committing prosecutorial misconduct. Instead he gave a rambling answer about the Florida case and the brilliant judge there. Such a missed opportunity that the unfriendly interviewer inadvertently set up perfectly for him.

This is why I think people that say he will smoke Kamala in a debate are fooling themselves. He rambles about unimportant things and misses low hanging fruit. She will be able to say whatever and he won't challenge her and the media certainly won't fact check her.

He never panders. He might put on a cowboy hat for 2 seconds, but he's not gonna walk around in it.
No fake accents. No fake anecdotes. No hot sauce in purse. His essential political opinion has been the same for 30+ years. America is getting sold out and ripped off.

You know what he didn't do? He didn't call this audience terrorists, extremists, or a treat to democracy simply because they are unlikely to agree with him or vote for him. He had a decent amount of the Black vote in 2020. He is going to build on that in 2024. Good Trump!
