you can't pick a running mate who is smarter than you. That eliminates just about every adult in America.

When has the VP running mate ever swayed the election? Probably the only time in history was when JFK picked LBJ to try and shore up the South.
Other than that one time, can you really say the VP candidate on the ticket brought strategic votes?

In every election that I can remember, myself and those who I discussed politics ALWAYS debated the pluses and minuses of the VP candidates! It was always top of mind when at the voting booth marking my name for that other person they were running with who actually got the job.

Because they need Pennsylvania more than Arizona. I would think Kelly might be on her list, but much further down the list than Shapiro...Pennsylvania has 20 electoral votes that would be huge for Trump and Arizona has 11. I don't think Arizona is going to be as tight as they think anyway. Thousands of dumbarses migrated here from California, unfortunately, and changing the state to permanent Blue like New Mexico.
Shapiro (the Governor) is Jewish. Multiple pundits and insider Dems have openly said that his religion would be a major issue for the party to rally around.

My money is on Andy Beshear
Mark Kelly is a risky choice because it puts a Democratic senate seat in play Andy Beshear is a safer play. He's a more moderate white guy from a more conservative state and has already come out swinging against JD Vance."I think if somebody calls you on that, what you do is at least listen. And I want the American people to know what a Kentuckian is and what they look like. Because let me just tell you that JD Vance ain't from here."

Do you think a vice president will ever actually take anyones guns away? The guns aren't going anywhere regardless of who's in office.

She was in the US House of Representatives for Arizona 8. She served from 2007 -- 2012 when She was shot in the face at a campaign rally. Prior to that she was in the Arizona House then the Arizona Senate.CreekBottom said:
Is he still married to her? Does he still care for her? Was she herself involved in politics at the time of her injury? I only ask because it would make me wonder if he is parading her around or if he is allowing her to still enjoy her life's ambition in spite of her injuries. Easy to put a spin on it but I am just curious why you think he should burn in hell if he is a faithful spouse taking care of his wife in sickness and health?

Honestly though you think this is a driving force? You really think whoever the D party VP is this election is going to alter the course of gun ownership? I own several guns and am an avid hunter and I honestly feel the ability to ow n guns and continue to hunt is the least likely thing to be determined by the next election. I've been hearing democrats will take my guns for a long time and I still have my guns. As a union member there are more immediate problems in my political view than a hot debate topic. My ability to provide for my family is a real threat in these election my guns won't be going anywhere.

Mark Edward Kelly (born February 21, 1964) is an American politician, former astronaut, and United States Navy captain who has been the junior United States senator from Arizona since 2020. A member of the Democratic Party, he was elected in the special election held following the death of Senator John McCain, defeating incumbent Republican Martha McSally.
Kelly flew combat missions during the Gulf War as a naval aviator before being selected as a NASA Space Shuttle pilot in 1996. He flew his first space mission in 2001 as pilot of STS-108, piloted STS-121 in 2006, and commanded STS-124 in 2008 and STS-134 in 2011, the final mission of Space Shuttle Endeavour. His identical twin, Scott Kelly, is also a retired astronaut; they are the only siblings to have both traveled into orbit.
Kelly's wife, then-Arizona Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, was shot and nearly killed in an assassination attempt on January 8, 2011.Six people died in the Tucson shooting. After the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting the following year, Giffords and Kelly founded the nonprofit Americans for Responsible Solutions, later renamed Giffords, which campaigns for gun control measures like universal background checks and red flag laws.

The shooter, using a 9mm with a 33 round magazine shot 19 people killing 6 including a federal judge. She went from moderately anti-gun to hard core rabid no one should have guns and her husband jumped into politics shortly afterward.

So would that be considered the VP or TVP?
What is the democratic party stance on unions? They are hellbent on allowing illegals into the country. Guess what jobs they take? You got it, union jobs.CreekBottom said:
So what is the republican parties stance on labor unions? How do they feel about the united association of plumbers and steam fitters? How much support have they shown me and my union brothers? I know where they stand in regards to my ability to negotiate a fair wage. I also know that no democratic president has removed a gun from my home or made me feel in anyway that my constitutional rights have been infringed upon. You may be in a tax bracket that allows you to believe republicans have your best interests in mind. You may also believe your religious convictions give you a right to legislate morality decisions to others (though shalt not judge). I cant pretend to know your situation as I don't know you. I also can't assume what is best for me and my family is best for everyone else. I do however know that I have an obligation to take care of my family. I would hope you feel the same way. I would never take a shot at your intelligence on the basis you are trying to provide for those you love. At the end of the day I want to see a government that is working for the working people and I feel that is lost in a lot of posts on this site because it's easier to play in to the "hot topics" of the moment.

Lost me right there.CreekBottom said:
There are no illegals taking union jobs where I live. I also do not fault families that are trying to come to this country and work and find a better way. If we are placing blame here I would put that on business owners trying to save money and hire illegals not on the immigrants trying to support their families. If it weren't for corporate greed trying to find cheaper labor there wouldn't be a market for migrant work. I mean Fox News would tell me that the country is running rampant with illegal workers but then again they also tell me those migrants are all rapists drug dealers and murderers. But if I base my opinion on what I literally see day in and day out that is not the case. At least not in north central Texas. The Democratic Party supports unions and my ability to earn an honest living. I'm going off what I actually see not what certain media sources tell me is the truth.
