That wasn't meant to be a slight at you. I'm tired of hearing that "we deserve this." No in fact we don't. Even the morons who do vote for it don't deserve it. Our "leaders" are supposed to be the ones who know better. They are outright exploiting the populace with open corruption and lies at this point. And both sides do it. Granted the left is worse. It's happening damn near everywhere in the world. That's why it's so hard or impossible to find a better place to expatriate.

None of us are going to "enjoy the fall" that is certainly coming…regardless of who is in the white house. Do you really think Trump is going to save America? The left is only slightly more naive thinking the dem candidate will. Until we get a Javier Milei type to take a chainsaw to the bloated govt we have, the outcome is set.

I'm told that would be a vote for the dems. And I'd be willing to bet if I associated with more leftists, they'd tell me it was a vote for Trump. I don't like RFK either. Too far to the left. I did like Vivek's proposal to fire half the government based on odd or even SSN's. That's not nearly enough in my opinion, but it's a damn good start. If we had a candidate like that who actually had a chance I'd actually be motivated to vote. As it stands now, I see very little point.

The only doubt I have about sitting this out is that perhaps voting for trump might buy me some time to better prepare.
