Would explain the use of the range finder?

Range finder - used to determine how far away something is. It's handheld and not attached to anything.
Scope - on a rifle. Used to help provide an accurate place to aim.

So was this before or after the idiot dems sponsored a bill to strip Trump of his Security detail?
We'll win this war, but we'll win it only by fighting and by showing the Germans that we've got more guts than they have, or ever will have. We're not going to just shoot the sons-of-b******, were going to rip out their living G*******d guts and use them to grease the treads of our tanks. We're going to murder those lousy Hun c********** by the bushel-f****** basket. War is a bloody killing business. You've got to spill their blood or they will spill yours. Rip them up the belly. Investigators believe Thomas Crooks may have planned on blowing up his car as a distraction so he could assassinate Trump. Or possibly a distraction for his escape.

A metal box of explosives connected by wires to a receiver were found in his car which could be detonated by a remote control they found on his body.

What's even more bizarre is that investigators have reportedly found *nothing* through his search history of him learning how to make homemade explosives.

In the final 48 hours leading up to the incident, Crooks went to the range, went to a Home Depot to purchase a ladder, and then went to a gun store where he bought ammo.

Investigators have successfully broken into his phone but claim they have found no motive. Imagine that. I'm skeptical because the kid seems to be fairly prepared, skilled in making his IED and evidently had a contingency plan as it appears. Yet they found no trace on his electronic devices or home computers?

Nothing about this makes any sense.

Ok...I'm confused...

All the pics show the shooter near the edge of the building facing to the right (in the pics) towards Trump.

Why does this pic have the shooter WAY over on the other side of the building? If those pics/videos are correct, wouldn't he have to be over on the far left of that building?
I'm trying to find a better map of how the shooter would have approached that building to climb it. One post said he carried a ladder a mile, through checkpoints and metal detectors. How were those set up in relation to the shooter's entry and getting on the building?

He was on the side closest to the parking lot, you can see the blood on the roof.

How do you take THIS picture if he is on the parking lot side of the roof and facing where Trump was standing?

Are all of them giants? So that they can be seen from the ground ALL the way across the top of the building?

Background compression from the long focal length when the photo was taken.
And the cell phones that had pics of him in the exact same location? They've got that awesome photo technology, too?

Not only that, the person taking the job is 15 ft tall to get that angle?

Simply means he didn't search for it on his phone or computer.

Plenty of other ways to find such information if one wants to do it. When I was a kid, it was the Anarchist Cookbook the troublemakers went to.

"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

I tell you what I won't complain about your obsessive obtuse behavior and in turn you leave the moderation to the moderators.

I post links whenever I have them handy. I also have pages of notes from various sources. I keep getting asked the same redundant questions over and over and with a few seconds of research they could answer the questions themselves however there are a few that are simply lazy and expect to be spoon fed instead of putting in their own effort. Poor Aggiehawg bless her heart should charge a retainer for her own services when it come to legal analysis.

I started this thread and try to keep it on topic and clean and the mods have worked heard to make it work. But you carry on. If you think I'm inaccurate feel free to prove it.

Where is this "easily discoverable fact"? Where was he when he took the range shot? That's all I'm asking. If he is such a marksman that he's taking such range shots for a 140 yard shot with a 223 round, anything very far off of his eventual shooting position in range and elevation would not be terribly useful. No doubt he went to his car and did some ballistics calculations for the ammo he just bought.

You're trying way too hard here.

Watch the video above your post, notice where they are standing over his body. End of the building towards the parking lot. Then go watch videos on camera focal lengths and what happens to the background as you zoom in.

There was a thread and several sources discussing all of this here on texags last night.

I'm assuming some of it must of gotten debunked in order to warrant the nuke and the warning on this thread.

I'm not sure what what all is debunked and what isn't, but was him hanging around the building being suspicious, noticed by law enforcement, spotted with range finder, then disappearing before being spotted on the roof.

DEI issue raised again.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13640193/unfit-Secret-Service-botched-Trump-shooting-Andrew-Neil.html

Quote:

It would seem the Secret Service under Director Cheatle has had other priorities. A former Secret Service agent told me privately that she quit because field agents were understaffed (working 60 consecutive days with no time off).

Money has instead been diverted to DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion). Investment in new technology, including state-of-the-art drones, was also sacrificed at the altar of DEI.

Director Cheatle was appointed two years ago by President Biden with the blessing (perhaps even active support) of his wife Jill.

Cheatle had been on the Biden family's security detail when Joe Biden was Vice President. Jill Biden is obsessed with DEI, like most leftwing pseudo-academics. Cheatle talks more about reaching 30 percent female agents by 2030 than she does about protecting those under her agency's tender care. Her ambition is all over the Secret Service website.
Trump will fix it.
