Lol that's great. I do know a bullet can do really weird things after entering a skull. In this case, the bullet hit his ear which was roughly an inch from the skull. A moving target at around 100 yards.
That wasn't a poorly shot taken in regards to accuracy by any means. But the hands of God did their job as per usual

The DNA report was talked about last night in the press briefing that was given.. it's probably standard protocol to run DNA once they find out some information- his dad bought the gun so they sampled both the kid and the dad for DNA match ?

Presumably cop's head got to the top of the ladder and he saw a guy with a rifle turn and point it toward him. At this point he's got three options.
1) Finish climbing the ladder onto the roof, unholster his weapon and engage the shooter in an AR-15 vs. Glock gun battle. 99% chance he dies, most likely before he gets onto the roof in the first place. True, he would have died a hero and the shooter probably gets lit up by snipers before shooting at Trump, but unlike SS, the cop didn't sign up to sacrifice his life for the protectee.
2) I guess he could hang off the ladder with one hand and blindly fire his handgun in the direction of the shooter. That kind of crap only works in movies, could hit someone else, and may well still get him killed.
3) Do what he did, drop and (presumably) radio for help.
The major question I have, other than the obvious one about failure to secure the perimeter, is why communication between the local yokels and the Secret Service was so poor. Trump should have been off the stage within seconds of even a rumor about a guy with a rifle on a roof.

a few days ago, I posted a clip of tucker carlson talking about how the deep state didnt like richard nixon, but he won by over 17M votes, so he was very popular, and what had to happen to get Nixon and Agnew shipped out and replaced with Gerald Ford. It sent shivers down my spine.
I dont think I have been more fearful of the federal government than I am right now. It's a very scary time.
I truly hope we find our bearings as a nation and as a people. we have truly lost our way.
