BYU

Fascinating that the people trying to coup DJT are Aggies.

I'm sure this will cause F16 no shortage of distress.

Apparently they recruit heavily from the Mormons because they tend to be good rule followers and there are fewer issues with drugs, sex, and other skeletons in the closet that could be used to blackmail or otherwise control someone with access to top secret info.

CIA has or at least had a pretty large office in the Woodlands with lots of Aggie rings walking to the building. Just a thought.

And the FBI has their big ol building in Houston. That's not technically related but America's forth largest urban center with giant port would explain why both would have a presence and possibly want some local knowledge. Although I think the FBI normally requires new hires to work someplace other than their hometown.

BYU is big due to languages and low drug use.

A&M is big due to low drug use and preference for service.

Funny how their ideas don't sound so great when put into practice.

On a side note, how many liberals in Houston area were running Green generators this week?
You know the kind that run on wind power and don't use icky oil or gas????

One of my dad's little sisters was an economics major in the 70's (understudy to Phil Grahm). She was recruited by the CIA and took her first post graduate job with them. It was a hell of a resume builder for her future career in O&G and on Wall Street.

a lot of folks with specialized jobs. They're not part of a plot, certainly not as far as they know. But there's compartmentalization.

https://www.howtobecomeciaagent.com/top-10-schools-for-cia-agents/

This article states The U.S. News and World Report as a source. But who knows.

1. Arizona State
2. George Mason
3. Naval post-graduate
4. University of Maryland
5. Columbia
6. North Texas
7. CUNY John Jay
8. University of Central Florida
9. University of Southern California

When I was at the USMMA, we had a Mormon kid in our class from Utah. He'd done his missionary work in Russia. Halfway through plebe year, the CIA swooped in and plucked him out for one of its programs.

Having worked with CIA and Pentagon types, 99.9% of jobs are this kind of thing. It's not a bunch of Jack Ryan's and Henry Kissinger's running around toppling governments.

went through the full CIA recruiting process in my first job out of college....got the offer and decided not to take it as I had a wife and planning a family and wasn't comfortable being an operations officer with a family in a foreign country. If I was single I would have done it in a heartbeat.....

there is so much recruiting by all branches of the military, intel and government, it almost seems like there should be brain drain. Absolutely right, if your have overseas experience, language aptitude, good tester. you'll likely have the option.

But seriously, Texas A&M is becoming a strategic pipeline for DoD, DoS, and a lot of other letter agencies. I just briefed the Spaceforce on A&M's capabilities as they are about to stand up a unit in Texas...hopefully here and not Austin. They are very interested in our student pipeline.

I have personally sent students to: All Armed Forces Branches, CIA, DIA, MARFORCYBER, NSA, FBI, CYBERCOMMAND, DoS, DHS, NIA, and probably even more I can't think of.
