My anecdotal observances have been that the gay male flight attendants are soon to outnumber the female flight attendants.

But they are ALL rude and mean as **** these days...male and females. AA flight attendants have always been unpleasant, but even SWA's are starting to get there as well.

I no longer make eye contact with any of them. I've tried to be nice, friendly, and cordial just to have it not returned...and I am the damn customer.

Flying used to be enjoyable. Those days are long gone, and this generation of flight attendants are a big contributor to that.

A friend of ours in Houston worked for Continental and a year or so after the merger she said every former Continental employee was pretty unhappy with the new merged airline. It was a "**** show" in her words and the new bosses sucked.

I've only met cool ones, including the ones who were gay men, but I'm also in aviation and give off a pretty chill and unoffendable vibe. They've been more than happy to shoot the **** back at the aft gallery, or the open area with the jump seats by DR3 on B753s

I can't say much for the ~10 years prior to the merger, but I flew Continental quite a bit in the 90s. After they got rid of Frank Lorenzo and all the bankruptcies, I felt it was a fairly decent airline to fly.

I really liked catching their free shuttle out of Ellington. It was free parking, a short walk to the terminal, and a 15 minute flight to the Big Bush Airport. They'd let you off at the lower level of Terminal C, then you could take the escalator right up to your gate.

Then they moved the puddle-jumpers over to Terminal A, and you had to take a bus to Terminal C. Combined with the additional TSA hassle post-9/11, the shuttle out of Ellington lost much of the convenience.

Sadly the mentally ill don't cotton to the nasty "breeders" living life.
