He was in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London for several years. He's been in British custody for the last two(?) years.annie88 said:

I do remember something about an embassy, so he really lived there like couldn't even go outside?aggiehawg said:He was in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London for several years. He's been in British custody for the last two(?) years.annie88 said:

It's amazing what the years have done to me. For the longest I was pro-US govt and anti-Assange on this deal. I was a patriotic American who despised Assange for being a traitor and releasing this information. To some degree I still am if any of the information released has endangered innocent American lives.
But now my position has changed. The America I was so adamantly defending in this deal was not the America I thought it was. Our deep, submerged state bureaucracy is the traitor. The media and entertainment industrial complex has partnered with the Left in our government to subvert our laws and weaken our country.
I hope Assange is vindicated. I hope he survives this.

I have no trust from what the government has said about either Assange or Snowden. I don't think they are innocent but I know the folks who have been after them sure as hell aren't either. Like the earlier post, I don't know what to believe. It makes me just want everything out there and let the chips fall.Gordo14 said:Tramp96 said:

Assange directly and deliberately got a lot of good people killed. But I watch too many conspiracy videos about the deep state, qanon posts, etc. and now I think he's actually a good guy actually.
Well, you were on here vociferously condemning Biden when he got 13 Marines killed so we know that you're not a liar!!!Gordo14 said:Tramp96 said:

Quote:
The US counter-intelligence official who led the Pentagon's review into the fallout from the WikiLeaks disclosures of state secrets told the Bradley Manning sentencing hearing on Wednesday that no instances were ever found of any individual killed by enemy forces as a result of having been named in the releases.
Brigadier general Robert Carr, a senior counter-intelligence officer who headed the Information Review Task Force that investigated the impact of WikiLeaks disclosures on behalf of the Defense Department, told a court at Fort Meade, Maryland, that they had uncovered no specific examples of anyone who had lost his or her life in reprisals that followed the publication of the disclosures on the internet. "I don't have a specific example," he said.

His liberation is great news, but it’s a travesty that he’s already spent so much time in jail.
Obama, Trump, & Biden should have never pursued this prosecution.
Pardon Snowden & Free Ross now

Julian Assange struck a plea deal and will go free! I am overjoyed. He's a generational hero.
