Im not sure why but I tend to get lots of emails in June that inspire me to immediately hit the unsubscribe button.

Its weird.

Unsubscribe tells them it's a good email address and encourages more emails from other companies, or that was what we were told by our tech folks at work.

Same. I agree with that branding and theirs probably a profit somewhere.

something to consider but I normally sign up for most the emails I get.

But when a company that normally just sends me things on new products suddenly sends and email with no product content and instead a message that they are in lock step with some group. I tend to have my eyes glaze over, lose interest, and want the email with no value to leave and never return.

Hell it would be one thing if it was a product with a rainbow on it. Then maybe you could argue they are trying to sell something. But often its just "hey we want you to know we are down with the cause". Or in other words, virtue signaling that is a complete waste of my time.

Send them to "Spam".

Some email systems will eventually flag the sender as spam and disallow them to even send. Muahahahaha!

Kind of related.

How about a shirt with only two words and a single period. "I Identify".

Not sure many would understand, and would think it was missing something.

Whose weird?

Ask yourself 3 questions:
1) Do I live in an echo chamber?
2) Do I spend all my energy barking when I hear a dogwhistle?
3) If this was me, how would I even know?
