I've been switching around channels since this verdict came out, and even before it came out, and I have yet to hear from a Democrat or Biden supporter expressing concern that this case was a miscarriage of justice from the outset and that it sets a dangerous precedent. Truth be known, it would make me feel much better about the future of this country to know that there are persons out there who can hold both of those thoughts in their minds at the same time (support for Democrats and disgust at how this show trial was conducted). Perhaps there have been such voices in the media, I just haven't heard any (perhaps Alan Dershowitz is one, I'm not sure he still supports the Democrat party and Biden). If this is how "Justice" is carried out in this country, we have really dark days ahead of us.
I would love to know that not every Democrat out there thinks this was an example of a hardworking DA with no axe to grind bringing a case in front of an apolitical judge who applied the rule of law without prejudice and gave equal weight to prosecution and defense. Honestly, if the shoe were on the other foot, I would be nothing short of disgusted with Republicans for doing what was done here. And lest ye think I am someone who thinks Trump walks on water and is as pure as the driven snow, check my posting history. I detest the man as a human being and I think he is very deeply flawed. I just think he is WAY better than the alternative, and today did nothing but solidify that feeling.
