Not all the female residents defer motherhood to their time after residency. Half the females during my time as a resident had babies. One got pregnant twice. This was highly frowned upon at one time and still was in certain residencies (surgery residencies would fire you), but one of the consequences of having a high percentage of female residency program attendings/leadership was that they defended and even celebrated the residents getting pregnant. So what's the problem? Their male peers have to take up the slack. The resident work still keeps coming and somebody has to do it. When you're already working 60-70 hour weeks and then get told you're getting all the worst cases & another 10 hours added because your "teammate" just got pregnant it can be hard to accept that there's anything fair about it.

The dr profile badge on here is like an enemy flag. Easy to just ignore everything said by folks who wanted you force vaxxed, sent to quarantine camps, wanted to prohibit you from accessing drugs that worked, called you conspiracy theorists, wanted you censored, and the list goes on and on and on.

I went to law school with black students whose parents are both doctors and graduated undergraduate from Harvard, Princeton, Cornell, etc. Their class rank was almost exactly where their LSAT predicted they would finish. And none of these kids scored a 170+ on the LSAT. In fact, only a dozen or so black males are able to accomplish that feat every year compared to thousands of white test takers.

The tests don't lie which why there is such a push to eliminate them.

This was my experience n 1994 with an Iowa based feed company. Of the six that they flew in for interviews, I was the not one that had used their products. I did not look like the others that received offers on the spot. My mailed rejection letter was not a surprise.

No such thing as a "proctologist". Pretty much all docs get to put on a glove with the KY and do the rectal exam thing. Closest gig to a full time proctologist would be a colorectal surgeon which is actually a highly competitive surgical subspecialty. That area is essentially clean by the time the patient gets to the OR so it's not bad work at all. My dentist jokes that he was foolish to choose the dirtier end of the digestive tract to practice on.

The mean IQ for black South Africans is a 71.6. Their superior culture doesn't seem to be having much impact. You met some Africans from the far right of the bell curve that were selected to immigrate to the US, congrats. We are discussing the population averages not individuals. There are exceptional intellectual individuals from all races.

All I know of that this DEI business is causing me to now question people based on the color of their skin, gender, and sexual preference and I don't like it. I don't like wondering if my doctor, dentist, pilot, air traffic controller, etc. is there because he/she earned it through study and hard work or if they were just pushed through the system in the name of social justice and equity.
