Exactly. I've never understood why someone would think a hunger strike is effective. If Person A says, "I'm not going to eat again until you {insert whatever cause here}", why would Person B do anything other than say, "Okay, knock yourself out"?

Why would I care if they starve to death? Wouldn't that actually HELP me by eliminating one more critic?

I beg to differ my fine fellow Ag. Our baseball team could win us a NC this year so if that requires that they draw straws to decide who among them has to personally harpoon that whale to make that happen, then they have to do it. I'd personally start a fundraiser for his own statue outside the new ballpark. His sacrifice will be immortalized and he will be revered like E. King Gill for eternity.
