Wonder what the first stop in Chihuahua was for. Migrants? Fentanyl? Goats?nortex97 said:
I think it then went to Dayton Ohio, where we have a few fun toys from the USAF. I would gamble they are moving/getting some urgently needed maintenance items for aircraft/air defense systems.
No idea. It might have flown over from Africa to South America etc. It's kinda sorta a poor man's C-17/C-130 tweener.jrdaustin said:Wonder what the first stop in Chihuahua was for. Migrants? Fentanyl? Goats?nortex97 said:

We sure don't have a lot of AN-12's land at DFW daily, but our lovely CIA/FBI/DHS types I know love them some Ukrainian 'assets' (ahem, cough cough, corruption).

The GOP gets kick backs too. The dems and reps just pretend to be enemies. When they start passing out the $$$ everyone gets in line.

Here's the only part of that which makes no sense....Why is a Ukranian plane the one making "cargo" flights (whatever that cargo may be) between Central/South America and the Caribbean and the US. I may be ignorant but I'd love to know how Ukraine is the best option to be making those cargo flights on the opposite side of the world form Ukraine.Rapier108 said:
From its flight history, looks like it has been flying between the US and Central/South America and the Caribbean.
Next flight is tomorrow to Managua, Nicaragua.
Even though some kind of grand conspiracy is what gets people going; it is most likely likely nothing more than mundane cargo flights. Would be neat to actually see it in person; not too many chances to see an old Soviet aircraft flying around the US.
CIA contractor, bro. C'mon, we all know that, right?Gyles Marrett said:Here's the only part of that which makes no sense....Why is a Ukranian plane the one making "cargo" flights (whatever that cargo may be) between Central/South America and the Caribbean and the US. When the Cold War ended and the Soviet Union broke up, Ukraine was gifted one of the largest air forces in the world. As a broke Eastern European country with a classic Soviet corruption problem, they started a fairly large cargo charter operation amongst multiple companies. The now (in)famous AN-225, currently in pieces due to the war, was a frequent visitor at Bush Intercontinental when I younger, and I've seen Ukrainian contract airlift aircraft across the world. Some are used for nefarious cargo, some are just the lowest bidder on a government contract.
