No, we belong in our own category. That's it.

Houston doing that is probably just referencing geography....The Chicken Ranch said:Ag with kids said:College Station and Houston are really not part of the South...The Chicken Ranch said:
Texas is part of the South, especially east of I35, but it isn't really Dixie. Dixie is really just Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina. Dixie is a specific part of the South.
Isn't Houston calling itself the culinary capital of the South?
Yeah, sorry, but Texas is a a southern state. It is considered southern by every demographic measurement there is. Politically, culturally, and demographically Texas aligns with the South. I simply don't understand some of y'all's aversion to anything southern. It's like you think we belong in the B1G or something.
You're unique.The Chicken Ranch said:

I don't know if you are referring to my post but my point is Texas is just Texas - it is the single most unique and standalone state in the world.Yes it i southern but it is also western - truly uniqueThe Chicken Ranch said:Ag with kids said:College Station and Houston are really not part of the South...The Chicken Ranch said:

I'm not reading all of this. I was asked on Wednesday if I'm ready for the summer by a superintendent, which is higher than a supervisor if I'm ready for the summer heat. My response was "I am bread into this ****". If it's too hot for you leave.
Of course. I'm just not a fan of being in a concrete swamp where nobody knows how to drive but me and avoid being in that town at all costs. I'd rather go to Austin even as Austin is today. That's how much I dislike being in/around Houston. It's a terrible, humid city that cheats at baseball and has good restaurants. But don't tell the Kommiefornians about the restaurants.CDUB98 said:Slicer97 said:I hope they do. We're full. We'd be so much better off if we could get rid of our two worst invasive species: Kommiefornians and illegal aliens. And maybe gift Houston to Louisiana. Make two states better with a single move.akm91 said:
Guess they just ignore SpaceX, Tesla, Apple, Dell, State Farm and the list goes on and on....
You do realize the economic engine that is Houston right?
And I say that as someone who hates living in Houston.
