The founders did a great job but they failed to predict the future symbiosis of government and big business. We may not have a government social credit score, but we have one in the corporate world.

USAA and BOA debanked John Eastman.

I realize private company, private decision, but how much taxpayer money did BOA get in the bailout?

Respectfully disagree. The founding fathers couldn't predict the future any more than anyone else, but the problem was a failure to adhere to the strict separation of powers between the executive (bureaucracies ruling outside of legislative action, EO's, etc.) & legislative branches combined with the failure to restrict the judicial branch to interpreting law and not legislating from the bench. All of which they DID foresee and wrote the Constitution accordingly. We failed to follow it.

They knew exactly what they were doing.

Somewhat agree with what you posted. Where I disagree is that they failed to see the inevitable mission-creep. People drawn to power, especially political power, will always try to expand that power. I'm not sure it's even possible to limit government in this way.

The constitution mandates nothing but silver and gold for money. As stated above, we chose not to follow that. There will be consequences. Inflation is one. Social credit scoring is another.

Nobody alive was involved in that decision. The govt does all kinds of things that are wildly unconstitutional. Does that stop them? Most of us have no choice in that matter. I think it's beyond fair to say that it has failed to restrain the government beast.

But he's right. The second we gave away the power to mint money to unelected bankers was the start of the government and banking partnership that cratered our currency and allowed the avenues for everything else that has taken place.

The main failure was not placing term limits in the constitution

I agree with you. And I've made several posts in the past that 1913 may have been the fatal year. I think we're sort of debating past each other. My point is that I don't see a way to prevent these things from happening. I don't think there is any brilliant document that can restrain or prevent those who want power from doing exactly what has occurred here.

USAA is so far down the toilet they're looking up at the bottom of the turds now. Amazing how fast that once great company cratered since the General died. If you are still doing business with them it is only because you haven't shopped rates lately or looked at reviews on customer service.
So three conspiracy theorists walk into a bar.................You can't convince me that's a coincidence.

Everyone should stop doing business with those banks.

There is no separation between the government and massive private institutions like banks. They work hand in hand.

Post Bill of Rights, constitutional amendments are generally poorly construed or poorly articulated.

They gave us a great constitution which DID need some improvements, but subsequent politicians have proven disastrously inferior in their attempts to do so.
