Well, if they can be counted in the census, even if they can't vote, and they reside in blue areas, blue areas will get more representation in Congress.

So it's in no way, shape, or form good for the country. But it is good for Dem politicians as an aid to maintaining their grip on power, so the "govern me harder, daddy" folks are all on board with it.
