Some say we've been in the midst of World War III since 1946, with maybe a 10 year lull in the 1990s. I don't foresee a worldwide nuclear apocalypse, though I figure it has to be a matter of time before someone leashes a nuke in a selected situation. However, I think what really eclipses all of the military aspects is the fact that our cultural and economic situation is in dire Circumstances. The victor will be the one who can leverage that to their advantage.

Exactly. That's why I don't think America wins. Our economy on life support with the erroneous spending we continue to make worse each day. Plus, our cultural issues have weakened us so much. Our society has gotten so soft.

I've got Israel winning the Mid East bracket.
If it doesn't go nuclear then I don't think it's actually WW3. The world wars were countries fighting until total submission, the loser is conquered and occupied. I'd argue that it's not really an existential war if countries don't use everything they have to win.
