A high school teacher in Texas has been arrested on child sex-trafficking charges for allegedly offering runaway students a place to stay and then forcing them into prostitution.

Cosmetology teacher Kedria Grigsby, 42, who worked at Klein Cain High School, was taken into custody Monday and charged with three counts of child trafficking and three counts of compelling prostitution of juveniles, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez announced.

She was working with her 21-year-old son, Roger Magee, to build a "prostitution enterprise," according to prosecutors.

"Additional teen victims have come forward stating that Grigsby was also attempting to recruit them while attending school."

Her arrest came nearly two years after her son was arrested on similar charges of child trafficking, sexual assault of a child and compelling prostitution.
Cosmetology teacher & part time pimp

Didn't see this posted and the only thing a TA search on "Klein" turned up was football recruiting. Is this story getting any press in Houston?

If true…hang em high.

But I'm guessing this won't make the national news. Can't quite put my finger on why…

Nope. A "conservative" paper.

Because it's a hyper-local story and the only reason any national news outlet would carry it is because they know it's click-baity.

Some people will click because it's lascivious and some will click to get that endorphin rush of their biases being confirmed. Either way, it's ad revenue.

Because it doesn't fit the progressive narrative. "That's Racist!" is the default response to anything that doesn't fit.

WOW! Lovely assertion that is absolutely not supported by any evidence, but please go ahead with the slander.

Is the national media not running it because she's black? Or is the national media not running the story because, while the actions are undoubtedly atrocious, it's not a national story? More likely the national media won't touch it because they're not-so-secretly aligned with the likes of Epstein and everyone else that pleasures in the trafficking of minors.

But this board will consistently and predictably focus on the melanin content of the story.

THIS.

My High School has cosmetology and a variety of trades even though we were a school that the overwhelming majority of kids went to college. Huge fan of any kid that is not in the top half of their HS Class especially learning trades. They aren't dumb kids it's just that not everyone is academic. Having auto mechanic, shop class, etc is awesome. My eldest took 2 years of Welding even though he is in college now. Cosmetology is great because it allows for mainly women to learn a trade that they can make money at right out of school. They can go a long way with it and start their own business if they want or they can use it as a part time thing to help pay for school.

We need kids to learn how to do things and the reality is that 90% of what they learn in High School is pointless for their future life and career. If your plan is to go to college that's another story but the reality is we don't need everyone trying to be a White Collar worker. There isn't the demand and honestly a lot of kids are happier doing a trade. One of my son's friends recently quit college to be an AC Repair guy, another quit and is fixing boats. They are both so much happier and not accumulating massive debt while making good money with a future.

Agree... locally we have a huge variety from culinary arts - that actually operates as a business and caters local events, to construction science that's working on campus wide improvements from sidewalks to new fencing.

Kids are learning more in those programs than anywhere else in the district IMHO.
