I didn't realize this was a thing now. Seems it uses infrared tech to recognize blood vessel pattern in your hand as your unique identifier

During the next pandemic, you scan your hand when you get vaxxed. Then you scan it to buy, fly, work, etc. If not vaxxed, you don't get to live. Biden and Lucifer love this. Complete control.

Meh. In the 90's Kroger ran a program where you could have your thumbprint on file and use that to pay. I remember RC Slocum doing a promotion for it. It died on the vine. Odds are this will as well. We're wise to distrust government at all turns and the coziness of big business and big government is alarming but this is a long way down my list of worries.
The federal government was never meant to be this powerful.

They are already pushing to do away with cash.

Walmart has a person at the self checkout lanes asking for cash or card. If cash, you have to wait for the 2 out of 12 lanes that accept cash.

This bio tech is next.

It's an easy bet it will not.

Above mosr other things, people desire convenience. We don't think about what we are sacrificing.

Did you know that some people carry around a little piece of plastic everywhere they go? You just scan it to buy gas or groceries or movie tickets. They can track your every move! They scan it to buy, fly, work, etc. If not vaxxed, you don't get to live. The government, big corporations, and the devil love it!

As evidenced by the lady in the video. "Coolest thing ever" with zero concern or thought about the implications.

They aren't labeled useful idiots for nothing.

This ain't the 90s. Young people are raised and hooked on tech. They grow up with a phone attached to their hand. They will gladly plug in here because they comfortable with it, they trust it and it makes things so easy and convenient.

I can use cash now. I can steal identity now. I can steal an SS number. I can use fake id.

I can't create a new hand. This tech allows absolute control.

This isn't substantially different than Apple Pay for that same generation. This isn't going to go anywhere.

It's more secure. Are fraudsters going to steal your hand?

While this is obviously creepy, the idea that anyone in this country has any semblance of "privacy" is laughable. The govt already knows everything about you, where you go, what you say, who you spend time with, etc. there is literally nothing about you they either don't already know or can't easily find out if they want to.

Privacy died a long time ago

My local Whole Foods has it and it gets used never. I work in the complex so pop in once a week or so.

Also I hate Whole Foods.

As other posters have said, the idea of privacy died when we started using credit cards, cell phones, and web browsers. Perhaps this is a little more personal since it uses a body part, but it's really no more invasive.

There's a line between being concerned about our privacy and being totally paranoid.

This is just another way to authenticate that you are who you say you are. It's actually more secure than using a credit card and a PIN. If you're using a credit card, Apple Pay, or any kind of shopping card like a Kroger card or some kind of rewards program, they are already tracking what you buy and where.

A fellow from Chicago that I knew in college had a fake "draft card".
He mainly used it to buy beer in one of the local bars.
That beer joint even threw him a birthday party when he "turned 21".
He always said if the cops ever raided the place he was eating the fake ID!

Cool/ interesting tech but I can see how it comes across as ****ing creepy. . I would rather use a digital wallet on my phone or smart watch over any sort of biometric identifier.

I lost my driver's license prior to being 21 and got another one. Then found the original one. I decided to alter my date of birth to make me be 21, lol. It was a very poor effort and would not have fooled Stevie Wonder. One night I got pulled over by a highway patrolman and he asked for my license. Like a real idiot, I had my "doctored up" one in my billfold with my replacement one (at that point I had not tried to use my doctored up one yet). I handed him the doctored up one. He said what is this? I said oh, my dog chewed up my billfold and damaged my license, so I got another one and handed the other one to him. My own version of the dog ate my homework. He said I needed to get rid of the old one and let me go, lol.
