Agreed and we will see even more in an election year by all sides. Telling real from fake is getting harder every day.

I am glad it didn't work out.

If by some miracle Republicans get the presidency, the House and Senate in 2024 like we had in 2020 there needs to be a reckoning over the last 4 years. My guess is that spineless Republicans would treat it like just another 2/4 years though.
That's the best they could do for a flush letter? Talk about lack of 'soft skills' and channeling their inner George S. Patton.Trajan88 said:

There's a reason a few posters haven't been around in years when they were very active when Trump was in office and shortly into the Biden administration.Burrus86 said:
I'm surprised the FBI hasn't knocked on some F16 doors, then. While no overt threats have been made (to the best of my knowledge), there is little love on this Board for Biden.
Yeah. Apparently geofencing only works when the FBI and NSA are doing it and they have the cell phone numbers in advance.Quote:

We kept getting too many democrats and they don't care about the Constitution.doubledog said:

Agreed on The Patriot Act. Had mixed feelings about that at the time but then I trusted the government much more back then than I do now. When Barr abruptly resigned, he knew what was coming down the pike and did not want to ever have to answer for it, is my guess. No Spin Ag said:Agreed, and all above board, thanks to The Patriot Act.aggiehawg said:Yeah. That thing (Patriot Act) has done way more harm than the good that it was said to do.
I had mixed feelings as well back then. It "felt" like the right thing to do, but at the same time, it gave the government way too much power to infiltrate our lives in ways they never could before. I forgot about Barr abruptly resigning, but I agree, that guy knew Pandora's box had been opened.aggiehawg said:Agreed on The Patriot Act. #ICYMI, #FBI Director Wray highlighted the Bureau's compliance with Section 702 during the hearing at the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. Learn more https://t.co/RHJxYbRec7 pic.twitter.com/MxzL6rwmDK

The FBI repeatedly misused a surveillance tool in searching for foreign intelligence to use in cases pertaining to the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection and 2020 racial justice protests, according to an April 2022 court order publicly released Friday.
The order, which was released by the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, is significantly redacted but reveals thousands of violations of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which allows the federal government to collect communications between certain targeted foreign individuals outside the U.S.
The court has legal oversight of the U.S. government's espionage activities.
FBI officials said the violations came before corrective measures the agency took starting in summer 2021 and continuing into last year.
But the release could create obstacles as the FBI seeks to have its warrantless surveillance program receive reauthorization from Congress before it expires at the end of the year. It could also expose the agency to heightened scrutiny amid recent GOP attacks on its activities.

Turns out that was foreshadowing and not just inartful use of words.

The problem is that they will make up a "charge", get a liberal judge to sign it and you are then in there custody.Thunderstruck xx said:
