not at all. The nature of their "inclinations" means that they are always a risk for future criminal offenses. All the more reason to help them not offend, whenever possible.

At the same time, the two dozen posters on this thread who have suggested running non-offenders through a wood chipper? Yes, they cause me some concern as well.

Vigilantes are just criminals who have deluded themselves into believing that they are acting for the public good. and that's when they engage in "punishing" people who have actually committed a crime. Here, they are talking about non-offenders. In this country, we do not sanction the execution of people who have not violated the law.
