The US Navy calls it TFOA, "Things Falling Off Aircraft."
And now every single time any plane made by Boeing has anything happen, it will be national news, and we'll be treated to countless people showing they have no clue about the airline industry.
The Boeing 777 has one of the best safety records in the industry. It has only suffered 8 hull loses, and of those, only three resulted in passenger & crew fatalities. One was pilot error, another was likely hijacked by the captain, and the third was blown out of the sky by Russia. The rest of the losses, save two, were due to fires during maintenance, fueling, or other ground operations.
Things break, engines fail, etc. but rarely do they result in anything serious happening because aircraft are designed with more than enough redundancy where a small failure is not an issue, and even a single engine failure is not going to result in a crash, assuming the pilots don't completely screw up.
The political left will blame "big business" while the political right will blame DEI.
Both sides end up doing nothing but showing their asses.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill
