That's why in a street fight where he could end it quickly, Iron Mike would likely win. Any fight that goes over a few rounds would be the opposite.

Old man strength is the concept that older dudes can still have a short burst of power, but may not have the stamina they had as a younger guy. It's why my teenager who plays three high school sports sometimes comes to me to open stuck jars, but he would run circles around me on a basketball court and leave me in the dust on the track. Tyson needs to knock his opponent out early or he'll run out of gas.

If the fight is real I agree Tyson will destroy him in the first couple of rounds or tire out and lose later.

If Paul is running from him from the get go I'd say it is more likely to be real.

This scenario potentially played out in the late 80s or early 90s and Barkley wanted no part of it.

At that time, it became fashionable for some pro athletes to publicly say they would love the opportunity to step into the ring with Tyson and compete. That included Herschel Walker and Barkley.

Supposedly, Barkley was at a bar or restaurant somewhere and Tyson happened to be there also. Tyson walked over to him and said "here's your chance". Barkley wouldn't even look at Tyson and wanted no part of it.

Supposedly, some athletes in the 60s were saying the same thing about wanting to fight Ali. That included James Brown. At one point they were both in London and agreed to privately meet at some park and Ali quickly ended it.

I don't care how good of an athlete you think you are, it's different fighting a boxer who has trained at a high level for years.

That mentality is the difference between the two. Paul doesn't have it. Even if this is just an exhibition, Tyson shows Paul that he's still a very dangerous man. That kidney strike from Tyson in the training video above made me hurt. Paul will take some hellish punches from Tyson but, this is all about getting paid for both of them. Props to Paul for even getting in the ring with Tyson.

It'll be interesting. Has he fought any actual boxers yet? Just UFC guys and maybe lighter weight class boxers? Tyson will get paid, I don't think he would do it if he had to lose intentionally, but they may insist it goes the distance.

Logan (the other d-bag brother) Paul fought Mayweather, and got absolutely whipped, but it went the distance. He took one punch in the middle rounds, and was out on his feet, but Mayweather held him up, confirming that it was rigged to go to a decision.

Tyson has waay too much pride to take a dive.

This isn't like Tyson was riding the couch and suddenly stepped into the ring against a moderately experienced 31 yr old fighter.

Tyson is preparing like it is Holyfield he is facing in the 1990s.

So the perspective is a trained, prepared, and motivated Tyson vs Jake Paul.

I'm going with Tyson in this one.

I really don't think Paul has even seen one YouTube retro video of Tyson's work. If he did he wouldn't be asking to get hit so hard his spine will be dislocated.

And you still catch glimpses of it when he does these podcasts. Even when he does all the mushrooms and smokes weed, you still see flashes of it bleed through. I really think he does those drugs just to keep the demons at bay. If he goes clean to prepare for this fight you will see old the old Tyson come out. If he's hopped up on drugs and smiling, then this thing was a farce from the beginning that's already been scripted.

Anything can happen, but Tyson wasn't gassed after 8 rounds against Roy Jones. I'd probably take Paul by KO in 1-3Rds, and also bet Tyson by points.

If Tyson keeps his hands up and dodges big blows in first few rounds, Paul is probably toast. Look for Paul to keep distance, and dance around ring, he doesn't want to let Tyson get inside early.

This take is because 90% of seniors are not only OLD, they are FAT, OUT OF SHAPE, and the most strenuous portions of their day are getting the newspaper and then the mail later on.

Mike Tyson trains daily. He is not your garden variety old person.

Plus, stamina or not, Paul has very little real world professional experience. Even if I give mike the stamina handicap, his experience and power will more than overcome any of it.

Stamina doesn't go away because you are old, it goes away because people slow down and stop exercising.
