Well, to be fair, if it was the kid of some democrat I'm sure there would be no shortage of jumping on the kid here. Its not that no one has recommended he not be charged, its that the reflex is "this is nothing compared to the left". Even Fetterman is calling folks to back off the kid. I've not see recently where anyone on the right goes to bat for the left in the same way.
I imagine if he's tried locally he'll be treated fairly. Its a very conservative district. But these days, being 'treated fairly' by the justice system depends on how the outcome is viewed by one side or the other.
