But Japan is in serious trouble "Over two people died for every baby born in 2023":

Isn't Korea in the same boat? Both countries that have traditionally been super masculine, up until the last generation or two.

The most high-tech advanced countries are pretty much all experiencing this, while the poorest third world countries are not. Hmmmm...makes you think...

Read an article on BBC.com yesterday that said Korea has the lowest birth rate in the world for two years now.

Could any of this be tied to the younger generations not getting married, or even dating, because of them always being in the internet and social media?

I mean, it's hard to procreate when they can't even "oops" themselves into baby making by going on dates.

Abortion plus porn addiction. Probably primary the latter is the issue. Add in everyone getting married after 30 and you've now mimimized the window for procreation. Definitely going to be an issue here too if nothing changes.

China is potentially even worse than Japan. There birth rate dropped below 1 per woman of birthing age over their lifetime. 2.2 needed for stable population.

China also had a drop in population last year for the first time in modern history not tied to war.

It has to do with the industrialization cycle.

People have fewer kids when they move to cities where there is less space and no need for kids to work the farm. There's a correlation between when countries industrialize and their population patterns.

South Korea in particular industrialized very rapidly and now more than a third of their population lives in the Seoul metro area. People moving into the cities just stopped having kids due to cost and space.

There was a post on TexAgs not too long ago that showed the divergence of men and women across the political spectrum. Japan had one of the largest gaps between males being more conservative and the women flirting with bat sh** crazy liberal. When you see your prospective partners world view as wrong, it isn't hard to to imagine why they aren't sleeping with each other.

America is also shifting in this direction as well. Not only this, but you have to look at the cost of raising a family and for a lot of people that is a driving factor.

LOL first you read on Texags that porn makes people want to have sex more, now it gets blamed for not having enough sex! You guys are funny. If you want to blame something sexual for lowering birth rates you should look at same sex couples.

The real reason is affluence. The more well off people are, the fewer babies they have. They can afford birth control and also choose not to have as many kids.

Yes, Korea is essentially a dead nation walking.

If I'm not mistaken, I think even those third world countries are showing declining TFRs.

IMO this is a spiritual affliction.

China is a special case due to the 1 child policy. It's not in place anymore, but the unintended consequences of the mass killing of baby girls has led to a complete inability for them to sustain their population numbers over a single generation.

This is the one silver lining when it comes to the US. Higher concentration of useless flaming white liberals in the major metro areas. Normal every day Christian conservatives who don't want gay cartoon p0rn books in childrens school libraries are outbreeding vile leftists that DO want gay cartoon p0rn books in childrens school libraries significantly.

White liberals are hellbent on finding any and every way to end their bloodlines and it's beautiful.

Yep, I cannot imagine going on a single date with a white liberal woman, I don't care how physically attractive she is. I would want to take her to the bad part of town and kick her to the curb and let her get a taste of what she votes for.

Am I wrong to think there isn't a huge deal not having more people than we need? I realize we've based our PONZI scheme socialism on an ever increasing population, which was socialist-level stupid in the 1st place, but other than that...why do we need to continually grow our population?

Problem, is, the groups we are yelling this at (people of all colors on the govt dole) fail to listen.

People who are not a drain on the country need to have more kids.

Does that very basic math make sense? Let me know if I need to dumb it down even further.

Why does everyone always claim that countries are doomed over birth rates? Aren't birth rates something that ebb and flow depending on conditions?
Rocag

But you're not the one that gets to decide for other people whether they think they can afford to have more kids. I have a pretty good engineering job and would probably be solidly considered a part of the middle class. My wife and I have two kids. Could we have afforded a third or a fourth? Yeah, probably. But two additional kids would have brought lots of added expenses with it and taken away time we would have otherwise spent with each other or the kids we already have. In the end, we decided against more kids.

I'd imagine lots of couples are making similar decisions.

They are not really ebbing. Rates have been steadily dropping for decades for numerous countries. That's why the analysis shows a world population decline starting in the next 20 or so years.

No doubt the one child policy was a disaster. They have a shortage of women as you mention and those women were raised to be independent and successful by their parents because the parents are counting on the child to take care of them in old age. As a result, they don't want to be stay at home moms so they don't have kids even if they get married.

China is going to end up as a weak economic country as they have lost the foreign direct investment, their demographics suck, they have a problem with massive corruption and their economy was built on global exports and real estate both of which have dropped materially for them. Xi is bringing back the failed policies of the past to add to their upcoming misery.

This is a busy chart but shows in almost all countries, rates have been steadily declining since the end of the baby boom after WWII and are forecast to keep doing it.

For one thing...pyramid schemes like social security end up collapsing. But these are drastic "overnight" changes...in terms of human evolution. What happens when a city built for 10 million shrinks to 5 million? I honestly don't know the answer, but doesn't seem good.

For thousands of year, human population has been growing across the board, until now.

We are living in the age of the grass eaters.

Somehow this all seems too conveniently aligned with the depopulation goals of the uber rich globalist types. Its almost like everything in our testosterone-destroying diets (and other products like soaps and shampoo), combined with brainwashing by academia and mainstream media, and artificial LGBT hysteria has been intentionally created to turn the global population into docile, non-breeding cattle.
