I lived in Michigan for a couple of years. Except for Detroit, it's a pretty nice place (when its not winter).

If Trump ends up being a massive down ballot drag, as I believe he will, then the only pickup will be WV and Texas will likely go to the Democrat.

Hogan was always hated by the left in Maryland. Hated him with a passion. The only saving grace for him with the left is that he opposed Trump at every turn.

The right hates him now too because of his covid lockdowns. He was closing public parks but relented after pushback. I have republican friends in the legislature who would skip photo ops with him and parties at his house because they didn't want to be associated with Hogan.

He could win but I feel it's unlikely.

And as much as I don't believe the 2020 election was stolen, I would think that allowing undocumented immigrants to vote via their drivers license would be a huge red light to not just Michigan but the entire nation. In fact I would think that would be extremely easy to prove.
