You have to stop them. You have to try to correct them, but they live in a state of self delusion and to some extent or other it is beyond their capacity to perceive or manage.

Sometimes it is useful optimism and creativity. Other times it is reckless destruction or sociopathic rage or resentment, or despairing nihilism.

Such people need a place, but in a place of authority without check they can be quite dangerous.

I read an article the other day that said research shows that both the left and the right think the other side hates them more than they really do.
Obviously there are anecdotal examples on both sides which seem to indicate extreme hate (as well as posts were one side says they utterly hate the other side and think they are completely evil).

But when you get a couple of people from both sides talking (surprise....it does happen) they usually both realize the other doesn't hate them like they thought they did.

But vilification can be a powerful election tool. Its just not good for the country in the end.

And this is me goaltending for both sides.

The argument between left, far left, centrist left, liberal, etc is irrelevant imo, because each of those supports democrats and democratic policies. Democrat policies have directly related to three things that are actively destroying America: removal of religion from our daily lives in terms of being comfortable with Christianity in work and school; promoting abortion to be less meaningful than having a mole removed, and the destruction of the family unit in minority communities through welfare policies and incentivizing single parent households. There are a million other things that democrat values and policies have done to hurt our country, but you eliminate these three and then we can talk, until then I'll consider the left in any form or fashion the enemy.

White single women in their 20s, black college educated women in urban centers, and 30 somethings college educated suburban white couples are largely the biggest leftist hate groups.

The first two are intolerant and loud and stupid. Easy to spot. The latter is more insidious and are growing and swaying elections, they don't always hate you to your face like the former groups and are not always out there yelling and protesting but are smug, condescending and arrogant nonetheless and despise everything about conservatives who they view as redneck hicks.

I am honestly convinced the public is growing weary of the hate on both sides. Left unchecked, what is the end goal, really? A couple of small countries? That would likely require an unbelievable amount of violence.

Public opinion moves in waves. I predict a fatigue sets in with folks trying to work their way back to what's good for the country rather than their party. I would love to see a re-emergence of a true conservative party. More Reagan like. Shining city on a hill. Not Rhinos trying to become popular by acting like Dems. Not Maga types dualing with each other to scare and agitate olds. 24 hour nonstop smash & grab tv on Fox.

Small gov, lower taxes, respect for real freedom, awareness that Russia is suspect, etc. Love of country over political teams. I make money betting on trends. As absurd as it sounds, a good reset button is coming.

I am a Christian who takes my faith as seriously as I know how to take it, meaning using his life and scripture to guide how I treat those around me, to inform and guide how I live. I follow the Love God, Love People philosophy.

With that said, how should religion be handled in public schools? I think it has no place there, including also any criticism if religion in a school setting. I don't want anyone talking to my kid about religion in school.

I don't want religion taught in schools either, but if you do not think there is an active discrimination against Christians and Jews in public schools or the work force then you are blind to reality. Hell the SPLC labeled conservative Christians and Catholics as hate groups.

They're more than socialists: they're fascists. Not only are they fascists, they don't even know what the term means. They think it means conservatism. They think it means someone who doesn't fall in line with the left-thinking on things like abortion and gay-rights (e.g. power). They think it means someone who is out to defeat THEM. They think its people that don't believe the propaganda and lies the left trots out.

It isn't NECESSARILY dangerous to be a socialist. It is idiotic, but not dangerous. What is dangerous is to be a fascist and not only not know you're one but to think others are fascists because you don't know the definition and think your ideology is, strictly speaking, incapable of fascism. But fascism has nothing to do with specific ideology or points of view, except that it exists when one (like the left in this country) tries to criminalize being against that ideology or point of view. In other words, the left seems to think that being for gay rights (power) makes them incapable of being fascists. But they're woefully ignorant of the idea that it isn't their views on gay rights, but the idea that criminalizing the views of us who don't agree with that makes them fascists.
