You are 100% right. This is likely going to be part of another push to get the Ukraine funding passed. As hard as some of these lawmakers are working on this while minimizing the real threat on our Southern border, there is something really rotten going on. The whole thing stinks to high heaven.

Guess we'll see. My biggest concern is that it is truly a viable threat and it turns into a domestic political volley. In a true threat scenario (external) our first response should be to the threat, not to win political points. He won't be rushed on Ukraine funding. We have other domestic priorities. Wants to speak directly with Biden.
Essentially the exact opposite of using whatever this threat is for Ukraine funding.
