Last week the state of NC announced that their state insurance plans would no longer cover GLP1s for obesity (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, etc).
The reason? In two years the prescriptions for those drugs had increased in NC (just on state plans) from 25k to 250k, with an increase in cost in the tens of millions.
My own health plan here in Texas has dropped them from coverage. Buddy of mine just got on Zepbound, said it's $550 a month out of pocket.
As for the bentcarrot one. If you ever want a chill, read through their literature. It's an injection, and you have to go a couple of weeks without sex, or else you might break it.
brokencarrot isn't nearly as catchy.
