"On Tuesday, the group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals announced it wants carousels to no longer have animal designs.

PETA says it sent a letter to the company's president on Tuesday asking him to end the production and sale of "animal-themed carousels that normalize the use of animals as conveyances and amusements."

I guess we can't have people riding fake unicorns, horses, ducks and bunnies because it must be totally inhumane. What next, ban stuffed animals as well?

Why give them the attention? They're always inventing a new outrage to stay relevant.

There are plenty of animal abuse cases to investigate and animal control agencies have little in the way of resources. Why not use their money to investigate actual cruelty to animals?

Fake animal lives matter

It wouldn't even make news if it was sent to me. I'd open, begin to read, throw in garbage and go about my day.

I remember seeing comments from some PETA members calling for a ban on pet dogs saying it was inhumane. I got home that night and watched how my dog reacted to seeing me. Something about the excitement, massive tail wagging and licking told me just how he felt about me. It was clear he viewed me as an oppressor that was despised.

Are there dogs that are abused and the abusers should be punished? Absolutely. Most dogs are treated like family and you can tell they love their pack.

This is what you get when people constantly humanize their pets.

They now sell them for humans but as this photo shows, they of course really end up being for dogs.

A new outrage ? No, this stuff is bat *hit crazy. Even in this crazy time, relevancy is the least of their problems.

When I was 8 or 9, my brother pissed me off.
I think he took my yogurt or something.

So I took his favorite stuffed animal, a giant mouse named Frank, and hung him with a noose over the door to his and my other brother's room with a note that said "Do it again. I dare you."


PETA would cancel me for that.

And they still fail the relevancy test.

For years I've gone to war and whatever restaurant PETA was attacking at the particular time. We're in CS and the carnival is in town. Thinking we're going to go ride the carousel.

They're too busy spending it on euthanizing dogs and cats...

The funniest was when a Sanderson Farms truck in Bryan overturned on 2818 and killed a bunch of chickens. PETA wanted to erect a roadside memorial for the chickens that died.
