Happy belated B'day. We are kindred spirits.

I think the commercial is brilliant and I'm hopeful it means we'll get great commercials this year. Oh and Patrick Stewart is a boss.

113 million watched last years super bowl. So yeah, people still watch the game.

Have y'all not seen a Paramount+ commercial before? There have been multiple like this where the characters from the shows on the channel are on the big Paramount mountain from the logo and interacting in some way.
Even if you don't know who the characters/shows are (I didn't know many of them) the point is that they're all representing things shown on the channel.
There's nothing to "get". It's just a silly little spot.
I thought it was pretty great.
By the way, I'm 50. This isn't some woke/Gen Z/DEI thing. It's pretty much the exact opposite of that. Y'all need to lighten up a bit.

Also, if the characters are from shows ON the service, and a person doesn't HAVE the service, what's the point? If you don't have it then you won't recognize the characters. I thought advertising was supposed to be about selling the product or service.

So having said the above, yeah, I think DEI must have been involved because it's ******ed and doesn't accomplish the basic purpose of advertising.

You're supposed to recognize the characters and want to get the service. If you don't know these characters you're not the target audience for the service.
