I don't know man. Gut feeing is they do what they told.

Ambition and aspiration won't have anything to do with it.

They'll buy butt-hurt Harris a house like they did with Bernie and get on down the road.

Harris, for sure, won't say a thing. But Newsom would. That dude ain't sitting back for 8 years because Obama wants to stay in charge. He's barely holding back now. Newsom is just as slick and opportunistic as Obama. And he's been biding his time waiting for Biden to die, retire, or get removed. He's done everything but move into the White House. Dude knows what carpet he wants and where the drapes will be getting replaced.
I don't think Michelle is going to be convinced to do this. She's never shown an ounce of interest in leading anything before. Absolutely no track record at all. You can't sell that. Newsom can sell ice to eskimos. And he's not gonna see his time just go by because Obama wants to stay in power for 8 more years.

Biden's running that's a fact. Him and Jill are under the delusion that the DNC are going to fix it again for him. But if you listen to the heads of the tribe, they are willing to concede to four years of Trump if they cant take him down via Jack Smith and company. They know they overplayed their hand again like they always do, and they underestimated Teflon Don upgrading to HexClad.

They've burned the race card already, they're clinging to the empty fear mongering of the death of democracy and abortion. That's not going to be enough to save Biden, he's on life support and circling the drain and they know it. But the dems are playing the long game. They know they are in trouble with the Senate, Garvey is making a lot of noise and Schiff is in trouble. They know they've gain a couple of seats in the house due to the courts granting them the rights to redraw some maps. But they know in the long run that California will lose 5 more congressional districts in the 2030 reapportionment cycle if current flight migration trends continue. Texas and Florida both will gain seats, at the current trend 4 million people will have left California for TX and FLA

Joe's legacy will be worse than Carter's because they will through him to the dogs to cover the rest of their butts. Trump will win and there will be another 4 years of organized chaos, the astroturfing has already begun. The ultra rich left will fund it to keep every move Trump makes tied up in litigation like last time. And the left knows they will have DeSantis to deal with in 2028 and that's going to be a tough go for them, so they are planning ahead to him. The left knows damn good and well Trump will not end the world or start any WW3 like they said before. But they will bang their pots and the MSM will carry their water because Trump is good business to the MSM. They know they can hold their noses that long, but they are worried about beyond 2028. If we can manage to buttress Desantis end to end with Trump, that's the left's worse nightmare. They know they can't tread water that long. And there's no guarantee that Newsome is their savior, he's got some ugly baggage. I look for the left to bring up another Barry from thin air and I'm betting he's a ******.

republicans have been forecasting biden's imminent ouster and replacement since 2020 at least, and it hasn't materialized. it's time to accept he's gonna be the dem candidate. there are few good reasons to replace him at this point.
I have never thought that Biden would resign from the Presidency, but I have serious doubts about him staying around for another term.

The smart thing for Biden would be to stay in the race until Trump receives the nomination at the Republican convention and then bow out and endorse someone who could wipe the floor with Trump.

Dozen would show up at his speeches and thousands would show up for Trump.

Yet, somehow, someway, 81,000,000 ballots went to Biden.

The real mystery is why supposedly intelligent people would think that the total number of votes for a candidate has any meaning at all.

Biden has stated that the only reason he's running again is because Trump is back in the game.

IOW, he's running under the assumption that since he's beaten* Trump before he's the best known quantity they have to beat him again. This entire thesis was the primary one of Democrats early on this campaign.

However, that was before the last several months after Biden's approval ratings have cratered and Dem voters have started to more publicly call for a different candidate.
They may call for a different candidate, but there is no reason why they would switch to Trump. They already dumped Trump in 2020 and are unlikely to suddenly decide that there is any reason to vote for him in 2024.

Trump is the Albatross of the Republican Party. He's the best thing that can happen for the Democrats.

The only logical play for the commies is Michell O. who has been in a basement somewhere memorizing the narratives. No way the Obama's let go now.
As the kids would say: "Tell me you know very little about politics without telling me you know very little about politics."

Give the conspiracy theories a rest. There is NO way Kamala Harris or Gavin Newsome would simply stand aside and let Moochelle Obama glide into that seat. They're both too ambitious, and neither is tied to BHO for their future success (or attempted success).

Joe may not make it through the election, but he isn't just a placeholder for Michelle.
If Biden were to resign from the nomination (but still remain President) and endorse M Obama, then she would be the one to beat.

Keep in mind, too, that a great many of the Democrats who have votes in the convention will go with who they are supposed to go with.

they'll have to pay off the Biden family and Kamala to step aside, but already corrupt politicians can easily be bought.
If Biden were to step aside from the nomination, Kamala would have no special claim to the nomination.

And that's why Newsome is probably the most likely candidate for the Democrats. Still, if Biden endorses Obama and the party higher-ups are pushing her, she could probably get the nomination.

That said, I suspect that Newsome has less baggage than Obama with the average voter even if Obama has the greater name recognition.

If it's Trump vs Biden, I'm sitting on my ass election night and just enjoying the wreck with a glass of bourbon. I'm not picking between those two imbeciles and watching and senile goat beat an arrogant senile moron is going to be funny.
It's good to know you'd sit back with a bourbon and take it, by not willingly vote against a puppet Communist regime in anything Democrat on a national level. Trump ain't great, but remember, only you can prevent Communism.

High and mighty, can get one down in some place they'd regret mightily. Especially with politics.

//The dems have an alternative to Biden, congressman Dean Phillips of Minnesota. He got 20% of the New Hampshire vote as opposed to Bidens 50% write-in. Strategy is obvious, young genX congressman in open primary trying to appeal/garner bipartsen support or 'vote for youth' as opposed to octatarians Biden or Trump. Media fawns on his bipartisian appeal, but doesn't mention dem billionaire, wall street funding/support and as a possible substitute for vp K Harris. South Carolina primary should determine if he has any future. //just my thoughts//

I think the move would be to get 2nd place then claim you won if he steps down after the convention. When the dnc appoints someone who didn't even run you get a big payday to go away.

Right now it's 50/50 on who wins (give or take).

Dems won't replace biden unless accurate polling (probable voters in swing states) shows a distinct advantage over Trump.

and all the suburban women who are currently pissed about prices at the store won't care anymore and fawn over Michelle at the polls. You can bet the farm on it.
This talking point is really silly and out of touch. The Obamas are living their best lives, doing other works. Michelle has no interest in the White House....she's lived through it for 8 years and doesn't want any part of it. You can bet the farm on THAT!

Or, Trump plays so hard to a core that he loses general elections. No, the truth hurts too much so let's claim cheating and hope someone finds some.
