My hope is despite the Democrats, who are truly awful people who installed this wasted demented shadow of a man as president with dishonest election strategies, our Texas economy continues to grow and offer opportunities.

Anecdotally, the price of gas less than $2.30 a gallon has been awesome for my company.

it is inevitable.

companies over hired during COVID/immediately post-COVID (anticipating lots of growth only to be undercut by rising interest rates), and they need to shed a lot of the redundant and unnecessary headcount. Plus some actual belt-tightening for many companies.

that and they ALSO have to shed a lot of unused office space that is sucking at the bottom line.

company i was involved in a 5% cut with last feb is going to have 5% to possibly double next month.

We are talking 6-10k heads. All because our politicians China virus response, predictably, crushed the our economy.

I imagine after the election it's going to get rough. And if the Republicans take back the White House (God willing), then all those skewed economic indicators will suddenly get corrected and our DNC-controlled mainstream media will suddenly announce we're in a recession.

Home Depot and U-Haul parking lots in Hollywood, North Hollywood, Burbank, Glendale, etc.

Fruit carts in the Home Depot parking lot and on the side of the street on Sherman Way.

Kitchens and cleaning services everywhere.

This is way Texas should not be sending illegals to California.

California needs to wallow in its self created labor shortage.

One of my colleagues is in a leadership roll for our companies ERGs, overheard her telling her ppl they should probably dial back on the push on these given the changing environment. Im guessing some of the internal complaints / concerns about them are beginning to have an effect.

Hmmm let's see, which one will you have me join? There were none for SWMs, or even any I'd want to join anyway, if immutable characteristics are to be celebrated for any reason...

Yup. You can find a good men's group at church, typically. As usual, churches step in where government and NGOs won't.

They ask us to attennd their events in order to be good allies. Many ppl have joined these, but its all mostly fakery for some to possibly advance their career and to keep hr happy.

One of my employees is from Compton and hates the things, jokingly calls them X Inc clubs and farts them off every chance he gets.

Most of the jobs lost will be DEI and useless jobs held by woke feminists

Hopefully the correction forces alot of companies to cut back on their useless DEI programs that bring in no money and are solely for "nice feelings".

The companies that don't will struggle unless the US taxpayer bails them out...

From the article, Spotify cut 1500 jobs (17%). AI makes a ton of sense there. But the real question in my mind is how the hell was Spotify a 10000 person company too begin with?
