"The consumer-price index climbed 0.3% in December from the prior month and increased 3.4% from a year earlier, the Labor Department said Thursday."

Enjoy the **** sandwich Biden is serving you. It probably won't stop Powell from lowering rates.

If someone gains 100 lbs. and then slows down their weight gain, you don't say they're all of a sudden skinny.

Paying nimrods $15 to show up and we wonder why our burgers are $10, libs? And those nimrods will never take less.

Well, technically it has "slowed" over the last couple of years. But this is like saying someone's cancer is not spreading as fast. That is only a "less bad" thing. It's not good.

I am paying $4,000 more this year for the same health care insurance from the same company I had the last two years ($6000 in 2022, 2023). No major health issues......

When do the 2024 insurance premium inflation numbers get added to the CPI?

You do when it comes to government spending.
And then the libs will dutifully tell you to stop fat shaming, and that being obese is good for you.

No border, so illegals cross for the gibs.
US citizens have less purchasing power.

Tell me this is not by designs of greedy elite. The American way of life became way too independent so the push towards authoritarianism is being accelerated.

Inflation is pretty much the same.

They have just gotten better at cherry picking and manipulating statistics.

And if you can't see that even if it was better we are all more ****ed than we were 3 years ago because wages still have not caught up and won't catch up to inflation for a minimum of 5 more years, especially with all the cheap labor now flooding our country then I can't help you.

Most of the rise is due to housing/rent, according to the CPI. (for those who like to know the actual cause, vs speculated correlations)

Seeing Yellen's mug again reminded me: You boys sound ripe for them clamoring once again to tax unrealized capital gains, with the 'gains' coming for no other reason than the devalued fiat.

Rent, housing goes up because labor, materials goes up.

And supply of housing goes down.

Cost of living expenses keep driving north. Prices for discretionary goods are suppressed by the reduced demand of a struggling populace.

An economy isn't uniform in the way it digests newly printed currency. Leftists are busy spinning the rosiest numbers.

As long as Biden's administration keeps finding ways to spend boatloads of cash... Buying off student loans, funding Ukraine, etc... we're not going to see inflation drop to levels that it needs in order to be sustainable.

And Lord help us if the Fed begins reducing rates before we have inflation under control.

This awesome because I just got my first paycheck of the new year and look at that, it actually decreased because my insurance went up. Just keep falling farther behind.

Can you imagine how much more expensive those things would be if there wasn't so much cheap immigrant labor working on those industries.

It's the minimum wage fast food workers that are to blame for inflation huh?

Man that's a hell of a scapegoat
