Was this poll taken before or after midnight?
No it doesn't, this board underestimates the amount of psyops that was run on them before the 2020 election and the subsequent psychosis that has set in. This board reeks of the weak minded that are now championing the cause.Ags77 said:
Not buying any of the polls, but this board constantly under estimates the never trump numbers in this country.

But RDS and Nikki are somehow going to magically compete thanks to some war chest of dem-lite donors.
(I will point out, all the "RDS is the truest conservative" crowd will have to come to grips with the reality that RDS will be a compromised candidate the moment he courts those donors. And if he wants to avoid prosecutions he will need to be a good boy.)

It's required because the media lies and presents everything he says out of context. You could do this for every single candidate out there if you wanted to. It doesn't matter what you say or how you say it when the media and the opposition are going to *******ize it and repackage it.
This has happened in every election we've ever had. The difference now is that you have a media that is overwhelmingly the propaganda arm for the Democrat party. And if people are too stupid and lazy to take a second to understand what he said they shouldn't be voting anyway.

I won't ever dispute that Trump says some weird **** at times and has an unusual way of communicating. I just find it equally eye-rolling that everyone just runs with "See, Trump is a dictator!" When he clearly meant he was going to use his day one mandate to close the border. And he quite obviously used the term Dictator to troll his detractors.
And the fact that he was the least dictator-life POTUS we've had in some time, in action. He could have rolled into blue states during all the riots and crushed them. Instead, he offered assistance to blue states and they said no because they didn't want Trump to get any credit. So they chose chaos and destruction over law and order.

Alas, we will never actually see a true conservative as POTUS over the current footprint of the US again. Trump is a populist with beliefs on both side of the aisle. He's the best we will get from a policy standpoint. And I think he has about a 5% chance of winning the general.

Not the fault of the "feckless independents" that the GOP is determined to follow the Trump titanic right into the iceberg. I grant you because of the general stupidity and lack of attention span of the public you can't really talk in jest or play off the words of other statements like Trump did and not have 65% of the country get the vapors. Unless you are a Democrat of course and then you can say whatever you want.Phatbob said:
Biden is as incompetent and corrupt as any President we've had, but he's also never said "after that, I won't be a dictator". That might scare people off.
I'd like to have someone where that wasn't necessary...
Except that, Trump supporters even feel the need to "translate" his derpy talk when it's an unedited video posted here.
Trump, on video : "2+2=orange"
Poster posts video, and we all laugh at his dumbassery.

I agree. He was also the most pro-LGBblahblahblah PotUS we've had, too. And the MSM painted him to not be.
Those are two instances of eleventy-threeve though.
We have an actual conservative leader ready for the fight and we just might snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by choosing an 80yo liberal moron to run against the other liberal 80yo moron.
Alas, we will never actually see a true conservative as POTUS over the current footprint of the US again. Trump is a populist with beliefs on both side of the aisle. He's the best we will get from a policy standpoint. And I think he has about a 5% chance of winning the general.
Too many feckless independents.
I don't agree, here.
Desantis turned blue areas red. He has the best chance at those feckless I's. Money donated will actually go to the election, not lawyers fees.
He has quite the blocker ahead of him and might not even make it out of Iowa, unfortunately.
Not the fault of the "feckless independents" that the GOP is determined to follow the Trump titanic right into the iceberg. People like DeSantis, Youngkin and Kemp have proven they can win those people over. Trump and his absurd antics completely repel them. with the added bonus of driving the left to vote against him.
I'm not convinced of that at all and won't be given the opportunity to be proven wrong.
If you don't want to look at the real results in VA, GA and FL compared to what Trump did I'm not really sure what to tell you. A big tent is the only way out of this and Trump is driving the GOP to the opposite of that.
It is so amazing how DeSantis is so great at winning people over. That is except when he is competing with someone who is terrible at winning people over like Trump. Who has won over many moderates already.YouBet said:J. Walter Weatherman said:YouBet said:J. DeSantis has won over the: pro-life, anti-ESG, anti-DEI and anti-inflation conservatives. Another words all the single issue voters that would vote R no matter what. So DeSantis' tent is the conservative christians. That tent is not big enough to win a national election. Reality sucks sometimes.
Trump won moderates ???? In what universe ? Trump has won over populist and conservatives that do not know better. DeSantis is the traditional Conservative Republican candidate. But I too agree we need a big tent to accommodate those learning socialism is garbage.texagbeliever said:It is so amazing how DeSantis is so great at winning people over.
