The worst this party has to offer. Never seen a legitimate "candidate" who does absolutely nothing but complain about another candidate.

At one point, I used to actually like this guy.

Now he's just a fat grumpy angry bully trying to beat up skinny Vivek Ramaswamy.

I'd guess that 100% of the people who would vote for him have nothing but "we hate Trump" TDS.

He had a moment where he showed real promise - back when he was Gov of NJ and did a masterful job standing up the teacher's unions, among other things.

But that ship sailed a long time ago.

That is his role: to be a cudgel to Trump.

The R establishment is trying like hell to sneak Nikki Haley in there.

You're right, he had one job to do. Sadly, some Americans think he's a legitimate candidate.

When he first was elected Guv in New Jersey of all places, I liked him.

His pandering to Obama after Sandy and then Bridgegate soured me on him and he's done little to regain any tolerance of him since.

Rocky, why does Christie look like an older version of some spoiled child who got in trouble in Willy Wonka's factory?

He's speaking now. Talking about how Trump is divisive and angry.

I'd vote for DeSantis, but if he aligns with Chris Christie I'll have second thoughts.

Might have simply called him to wish him the best since they had actually appeared on stage together for the debates.

Edit: Seriously doubt that DeSantis is "petrified" of anything related to Christie.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

Christie just announced he is dropping out. Haley has a real shot to win NH now. Not that it matters at all because Trump will then win her home state of SC as well as NV and the vast majority of super Tuesday states - but boy the media is going to be excited!

Debates are antiquated and nothing but monkeys flinging poo at each other. People like Christie still think that format is the best way to learn about a candidates policies.

.....and like one of thousand. Trump is a drama queen when it come to relationships of any kind. One minute he full of flowing compliments and the next a stream of Virol for who knows how many people from Bannon to Pince to take your pick.

I wonder what the common denominator is ?

They are not antiquated at all just poorly conducted. Do tell what is the best way to learn about a candidate ? the MSM, Their commercials, political rallies, etc

Or maybe their record. With good court appointments and some nice FP wins Trump is okay but 2020 and Covid were a disaster. As was his 2020 campaign against Biden. DeSantis's record is even better.

Seemed to happen a lot. A crucial component of leadership is to know or sense those you surround yourself with.

Funny how nothing is ever dear leaders fault. Narcissist never take responsibility if anything goes south.

I'm still old enough to remember when Christie was playing the Vivek role for Trump in 2016 and was the advisor that told him to hire Chris Wray.

DeSantis' style isn't to be overtly nasty to other Republicans. That said this sounds like this was the convo:
