They are going to have a problem because they already "investigated" her plagiarism and cleared her several months ago. That is probably why they didn't try to fire her outright and left her salary as is to compromise. They whitewashed the earlier plagiarism accusations, so they can't them as the basis for firing her now.akm91 said:
Wonder how Bill Ackman feels about the "resignation" of Gay not only she gets to keep a job which she's not qualified for given her litany of academic fraud at a salary she has not earned.
Harvard is a joke and will continue to be a joke until Gay is kicked out of the school. She's probably only qualified to teach at a community college, at best, given her decade of plagiarism.
I would think they could use her insolent accusations of racism as the basis for firing her fully. The is painting the whole of Harvard's leadership as racist instead of owning her own mistakes. Academic freedom under tenure allows her a lot of leeway, but falsely accusing the university board of being racist doesn't necessarily fall under that I would guess.Rongagin71 said:
But aren't there new, previously uninvestigated (by Harvard) charges of plagiarism.
She shows no remorse and that is another reason she needs more punishment.
