If I were managing the store I would just have a pink "gender neutral" section and a blue "gender neutral" section. Label them exactly that.

Just take down the signs that say "Boys" and "Girls" in the toy section. Problem solved.

At the end of the day - the vast majority of kids (and parents) know what is what without that signage anyway.
