Get rid of taxes. I know we need some money for roads and military but we aren't getting what we need out of that.

Social security used to come from the church or your company in a pension but now people continue to vote in those that will give back money to them.

Property taxes should fund local governments but they go to pet causes and lead to higher rates as governments get more and the benefits are less.

Keep your government small and local...

Once it gets to the point we are now it is too late. The power will never be released willingly.

Get behind true conservative winnable candidates in primaries. Vote Republican like your life depended on it in the general. Do this at all levels. Get involved. Understand the candidates from school board to POTUS.

I believe that America in all of it's greatness cannot come back. What rises from the remnants of this once great country should learn from the mistakes just as the USA did in the beginning. While I continue to believe that many social issues are cyclical and will fall in and out of favor, the political and military machine can never reach optimum efficiency again. It must be broken and rebuilt

My resolution is to plan and be able to execute an exit strategy.
No, I don't give a damn how much money you make. If your last shirt has pockets, take all you can take. I'm goin' out with nothin' like I came in

The country as everyone wants to see it was lost with the establishment of the federal reserve system of fiat banking and the establishment of the current fraudulent income tax system. Bankers control the elections and the economy. Until there is a total collapse of the system, nothing will change no matter how you vote.

Recaptured by force or burnt down and rebuilt.

But memeing our way out of it seems to be the current trajectory that is failing.

Which republicans? The ones that sell out its citizens every chance they get?

I'm afraid it's too late. All you are doing by voting Republican is managing the decline a little slower.

The Republicans have the house and they can't even follow the laws on the books or hold anyone accountable. About 99% of them talk a big game and vote the exact opposite of what their constituents want.

Sadly we're done unless someone comes along and takes a hatchet to the government and dismantles it and their power.

Problem is they can't, the powers will just tie it up in court, stall, and run out the clock until the next Manchurian candidate is in place.

I'll add a log onto the fire:

1. PAC's have to completely go away.
2. Lobbying, especially corporate lobbying needs to go away.
3. The voting process has got to be one size fits all, and completely transparent.
3. What we call "news" has to be transformed.

The United States turned a corner in the 1960s and there's no turning back now. 60 years of the slow rot of Marxism has woven itself into our social fabric and you either have to rip the fabric apart, which is increasingly unlikely, and start over, or continue to suffer the accelerating rapid decline and march towards tyranny.

An election or two May slow it down for a season, but the global collectivists are like cancer. If you don't root them out they come back with a vengeance.

This is no surprise. Our founders understood well that self government only worked when it operated under a good and moral public. The moment we surrendered and left our Judeo-Christian roots for cultural Marxism, the die was cast. I take comfort in knowing the end of the story.

End all forms of welfare, end unions, and end the minimum wage.

5. Move the U.S. Capitol from Washington DC to somewhere in Nebraska. Leave only the non functional departments (such as education and transportation) in DC.

I also forgot end all health insurance except for major medical.

Unemployment, loss of manufacturing ability, and illegal immigration will suddenly not be problems.

Perhaps you could ask chatGPT.

I second small government, term limits in Congress.

Go get the founding Fathers and ask them what they would do.

What would George Washington do?
What would Ben Franklin do?

This isn't even close to true.

24 million government employees
https://usafacts.org/reports/2021/government-10-k/part-i/item-1-purpose-and-function-of-our-government-general/employees/
USA Population = ~330 million
Labor force size = ~164 million
https://www.statista.com/statistics/191750/civilian-labor-force-in-the-us-since-1990/
If you reduce to the size of the working labor force you get 63% * 164 million =103 million

Regardless of which you pick as the denominator (330, 164, 103) you still get far below 50%

When I was young, I promised myself to never become an angry "old" that is convinced the old days were magical. I'm sticking to it. Some things are better than they used to be like far less look-the-other-way child molesters, less child labor and less in-your-face racism. Some things are worse today like political division/hate, the development of biased news echo chambers, open ridicule of religion and a disregard of the dangers of mounting debt. I am convinced that as folks age, they have to tell themselves that things are getting worse because it makes them feel like they are not missing anything good as they anticipate leaving this mortal coil.

1. Break up Big Washington. Spread the departments across the country (eg, dept of agriculture goes to Des Moines, FBI goes to Huntsville Ab, etc).
2. Fix voting. No more electronic voting. ID's required. No private money is allowed to pay for voting infrastructure.
3. Let the Supreme Court continue to strike down government by bureaucratic fiat. Make congress do its job.
4. Congress reform: term limits and an end to legalized insider trading for congresspeople.
5. Use existing laws to legally shut down the open border. Regain control of deciding who we let in here to live.
6. End DEI in government. Obama used DEI as cover to root out what remaining conservatives existed in government. (Thats the root cause behind the government treating any Republican administration as a national security threat, requiring law enforcement intervention - no one in the bureaucracy dissents, even when they should).

Imagine clowns like AOC and the rest of the "squad" and the Democrat party... addressing patriots like Washington, Adams, Franklin, Jefferson, Madison, Sam Adams, Paul Revere, etc. today.

Those Patriots would say "What have you done!?" to the country, Republic we gave you.

Spending needs to be gutted across the board. Our government wastes way the hell too much money on dumb **** and on making themselves and their pals rich.

Porkulus bills need to be a thing of the past. One issue, one vote.

Every geriatric needs to be kicked out of government, a max age of 65 needs to be set, and no more than 2 terms in any office.

Government employees and their immediate families are not allowed to trade stocks while they hold office.

You're right, and that's a worthy and reasonable goal that I'm on board with. I became more apathetic simply to keep myself from going crazy with anger and frustration. I'm not laughing at anybody for wanting to improve things, but I'm just totally resigned to the fact that we're racing to the cliff in multiple ways at 100mph and the best we can realistically hope for at this point is to slow down to 90mph. It's becoming more and more apparent daily that this isn't even about America anymore, it's about western civilization. All the western countries have collectively chosen suicide. You can't save something that wants to die.
