Funny how something that is so bad has led to me losing 25 lbs, 7% bf, I'm stronger, IBS gone, and BP at normal levels. The government would say what I am doing is bad for me and the environment, but carbs, especially refined ones, and monocrop agriculture is good. I hate those dumb ****s.

I mean, long term it's probably not the greatest thing for you.

Cutting out sugar and processed carbs will do that though.

How so? If you're thinking cholesterol, read up on the latest research on heart disease and the links to inflammation.

My wife and I are eating that way and have had great results not to mention feeling good all the time. Inflammation is simply gone and we are in our mid 70s . Naysayers need to read up on the science of this diet in the book Carnivore Code. It makes so much sense once you understand how it works. Can't say we are 100% on the diet but it still works for us. Secret seems to be giving up most plants which isn't hard. Let me see, broccoli or steak, potatoes or scallops, you get the idea.
So three conspiracy theorists walk into a bar.................You can't convince me that's a coincidence.

Just listened to the full podcast, highly recommend for anyone interested in more info on the Carnivore diet. Shawn Baker is either the inventor or the first real promoter of the diet. He's also very relaxed and it doesn't fell like you have to be indoctrinated to participate fully in the diet, like I feel with people promoting veganism.

He discussed a comprehensive study the results of which were to be released on Dec 9th. I was thinking about this today and wondering how the study turned out?

I haven't read it, but I believe this is it.

This seems pretty amazing if true.

92% discontinued insulin for type 2 diabetes altogether
90% discontinued or decreased insulin
84% discontinued oral diabetes medications.

Remember to get rid of the Hateful 8 SEED cooking oils. I've been seeing ads for zero acres new cooking oil that is more omega 3.

Also, use butter and not margerine.

Started this in september, but more of a keto than true carnivore because I'll have some booze on the weekends, but my cholesterol went down from 217 to 175, dropped 20 lbs, and increase in strength.

Very simple once you do it for a week.

Kudos to you for taking that step and it working out for you. I made up my own diet and it seems to work well for me. I call it the "1950's diet." If you look at old pictures of people from the 50's they're generally not obese, particularly kids. So my diet is based around eating only fresh fruits, vegetables, and meats, stuff people of that generation are before things like corn syrups. Basically if it comes in a box I stay away from it, meaning artificially manipulated foods. I've heard others call it the "wall of the grocery store diet. They basically just stick to the foods on the outer walls of the store.

The food pyramid is pizza. Pizza is also shaped like the food pyramid.

I've been doing one meal a day ("OMAD" or 23:1) to avoid holiday weight gain and I've even managed to lose weight this month. I guess that's why we seldomly see obese communists.

I've been doing low carb for about 9 months now. Even with cheating for Thanksgiving and a 1-week summer vacation, I'm down quite a bit. Low carb works. Carnivore works really well if you have the discipline because its the lowest possible carbs. Also, a lot of people like Jordan Peterson and his daughter found that all kinds of other health issues went away when they went carnivore (not just excess weight).

To make this political: I doubt its a coincidence that the globalist left is trying their damnedest to kill off cattle ranching, poultry farms and dairies under the cynical guise of environmentalism. Watch what happens to beef prices again this year. Also, watch if they keep killing millions of chickens & turkeys in response to the supposed bird flu. Its already hard for most people to afford a large serving of meat or eggs every meal.

The leftists know damn well that the refined carb-heavy, glucose heavy (corn syrup in everything) diets they've been pushing are really unhealthy. Its also no coincidence that creeps like Bill Gates are capitalizing on that with their lab created meat and bug farming ventures. They are going to slowly kill us off, but make a nice profit from the process of making us all fat, sick and increasingly susceptible to diseases that they create in labs.

This is incorrect.

The development of farmed grain is evolutionary a recent Staple to the human diet. Humans evolved to submit primarily on meat and foraged fruits, nuts.

Bread historically is a recent addition to the human diet and even historically most bread were barley and rye based with the addition of a little wheat.

Bread was usually reserved for special occasions.

Which is why high grain and bread intake messes with ur system long term.

Processed sugar is even worse for it.

There is actually a MUCH stronger correlation with cardiovascular disease and high sugar intake than a high meat diet.

Fried food and processed fats are just as bad for you as processed sugar and people often mistake that for a meat based diet.

But a diet based on chicken, beef, eggs, fish as the staples with the additiona of supplemental veggies and fruits is probably the healthiest thing you can do.

Additionally, high carbs and sugars reduce testosterone output.

I don't tell everyone to do carnivore, although I do tell people who str with weight loss to give it a try, but my point is the government doesn't know crap about nutrition and overall health but wants to propegate a false message with hopes to regulate a completely healthy thing and promote the SAD diet.

You can make a passable low carb pizza crust a variety of ways so you can enjoy pizza guilt-free.

One super easy way is to make small pizzas on low carb tortillas. I'll eat two of those and its only 8 grams of carbs.

I had pizza which was the only non animal based food I've eaten in 9 months yesterday...not worth it and today's bone in ribeye was far better! It reaffirmed how much I enjoy this diet.

Who says a carnivore diet is "so bad"? It's not the most optimal diet possible but it's better than the overwhelming majority of western diets.

I advocate for the diet, but I get people at work thinking I'm going to keel over from a heart attack at any moment. Many "studies" say red meat is bad, but they don't ever adjust for sugar intake, sedentary lifestyle, etc.
