Apologies if I missed this, but was poking around Daily Mail who has a reporter supposedly naming the unnamed in Hunter's latest tax indictment and saw this article about him recently having an art show to fundraise for his estranged daughter.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11523295/Hunter-Biden-sells-paintings-225-000-anonymous-buyers.html
Quote:

Hunter the con artist? First son sells paintings for up to $225,000 to anonymous buyers at latest New York City exhibition - despite serious ethics criticism and investigation into his finances
  • Hunter Biden debuted at his latest gallery in New York City on Thursday night where paintings sold for up to $225,000
  • It once again raised concerns that buyers were making overly generous offers to the fledgling artist in hopes of cozying up to his father, President Joe Biden
  • White House officials have said they put measures in place to shield information about how much Hunter's work was selling for and to whom
  • However, their efforts have been criticized by former White House ethics chiefs
  • Hunter's art dealer said the latest series, Haiku, is a form of self-reflection by Hunter, who continues to be marred by investigations and controversy

How is this appropriate? How? If Ivanka, Eric or Don Jr were doing this it would have caused an immediate impeachment.

Instead, Hunter flies incognito on Marine One

And to derail my own OP, quick mention of Rudy showing he ain't broke just yet.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12883589/Rudy-Giuliani-NYC-shopping-election-fraud-case.html
Quote:

Rudy Giuliani goes shopping for luxury jewelry in Manhattan as he doubles down on election fraud lies that cost him $148million in damages
  • The disgraced mayor was spotted walking into Madison Jewelers on 3rd Avenue
  • His outing came less than a week after he was ordered to pay $148 million in damages to two election workers for defaming them
  • The women sued Giuliani again on Monday for continuing to 'spread the very same lies for which he has already been held liable'

Gives me plenty of confidence this is on the up and up. It's not like there are bags of coke laying around, cross dressing freaks that have stolen luggage fetishes, or trans activists showing their junk on the front lawn that need to be managed.

I remember when Jenna Bush having a margarita at Chuy's when she 19 was a sh** your pants moment for American liberals. The absolute horror that the first daughter would stoop to such debauchery!

Now it's prostitute parties, crack pipes, bags of blow, pokin the dead brother's wife, and the niece, illegal weapons, tax evasion, foreign corruption, more crack pipes, and getting bank rolled by secret identity rich dems to fund it all. All in plain site.

What a country we've become!

Modern art is the ultimate money laundering scheme. That's why the art doesn't have to even be good. Pretend that the art is good, give it a huge valuation, and sell it to your rich buddies. All that China money vanishes at the snap of a finger.

Even quicker when that art is NFT and the currency is bitcoin.

Why do people think all that stuff blew up then went QUICKLY underground. The right people silenced it once they saw how useful it could be and was given credence just enough to make the questions go away.

Biden and others are stealing right in front of you.

But certain people voted for this cause mean tweets so bad.

When the rich need a big tax break they donate the art to a museum and write off millions in taxes. Art dealing is all about the money and accounting and not the art. The art might as well be arcade tokens. It really doesn't matter, they just need an object to place a value on.

NFT marketplace showed how the scam works because the transactions were out in block chain and traced. Then internet sleuths uncovered the scam. Basically fraudulent and fake NFT sales to drive up prices. But the art market doesn't have a blockchain ledger so the scheme can't be proven.

True story time. I was in San Fran in the mid 90s. An art fan so I went to the San Fran art musuem thinking it should be filled with some great art like the Art Institute in Chicago or the Guggenheim in NY, right?

No it was all an exhibit for an artist that uses white paint on a white canvas. Robert Ryman. I pretty quickly cruised that and as I was about to leave, a docent asked me if I wanted to pay for a tour of the exhibit. I laughed loudly and replied, "So I can hear notice the startling absence of color dozens of times? Hell, no!"

I was asked to leave at that point.

Staff, if you feel like this is derailing, I'd be happy to make a thread that compares the support this board has for the GOP front runner selling artwork with no value and the apparent lack of support for a non-political figure doing the same. I do feel like this is a valid point to be made in this thread but I'm open to making another.

[Normally would consider this a derail and remove, but the OP already opened the door to derails. This thread isn't solely about Hunter Biden -- Staff]

Hunter, probably the highest compensated living painter, selling paintings to anonymous friends of POTUS, is comparable to Trump selling campaign trinkets to raise money... for his campaign and legal defenses related to his campaign.

Hunter's artwork is a threat to national security when the donors / influencers are hidden under the guise that Hunter is a ... private citizen?

Non-political private citizen who used his dad (current POTUS) to go sit on corrupt boards of corrupt companies in corrupt countries? The non-political guy who traveled extensibly on AF2 and further used Joe's VP staff to arrange meetings... all documented on secrete DoD email servers at the White House using pseudonyms (with no explanation as to why aliases are needed)... the non-political private citizen who gets ferried to his art shows on Marine One, hidden from the passenger lists and told by the WH press secretary its none of our business?

Does the derailer mean that non-political master painter?

Trump sold 45k pieces of art at $99 a piece. None of the buyers needed to disclose who they were in order to do so. Seems like a MUCH bigger national security threat than Hunters 220k pieces of art.

The trumps aren't above using Daddy's POTUS influence to extract foreign cash at a MUCH greater amount than anything you can accuse Hunter Biden of doing.

Did those individual buyers have a hope to steer national political decisions in their favor, like, say, getting a select Ukrainian prosecutor fired for no wrongdoing because he was investigating unlawful activity at a certain oil business?

Not going to keep feeding the well known troll past this.

Trump sold trinkets not "art" and through a licensing deal that is all public and disclosed. Surely you understand the difference between trinkets through a 3rd party all disclosed and private art sales where the buyer of the son of POTUS art is specifically kept private / undisclosed.

And the Kushney thing is so ****ing funny and long discussed and debunked. Jared Kushner ran equity forms BEFORE he married into the Trump family. Kushner worked as an adviser for Trump whilst POTUS, which he did for FREE, and using all the proper disclosures and oversight. BTW - He only negotiated Middle East peace deals with great success... which if continued would have in all certainty hamstrung Iran for decades and prevented the current conflict in the Middle East / Israel.

The Saudi funding has not benefited Trump in any way, either direct or indirect. Hunter's grifting has funded the "poorest man in the senate"s lavish lifestyle with 3 homes in Delaware, 2 of them on the beach.

But you keep up that deflecting, goaltending and Biden worshipping.

I should hope it's disclosed as that would be a major campaign violation. I'll wait for you to post WHO bought $4.4MM worth of usless art (and yes, its art, NFTs are not a physical thing, you keep saying trinket but that's a flat out lie, it is valueless art).

Quality High Art, especially painting, was one of the first things to go (in the USA). Artists who trained under masters and teachers, who were identified by exacting experts with fine eyes, and given commissions and supported by benefactors. Gonezo

It's been replaced by this slippery business that's, as noted above in this thread, is tied to everything except skill and quality.
It is now, ostensibly, tied to feelings. "How does this make you feel?"
But as mentioned, it is the perfect racket.

I look at these paintings and I see doodles in the margins of my old legal pads, that have been colorized and made a bit more interesting,

And Warhol had his art "factory," and many of his famous works were just his ideas and the work was executed by his little junky acolytes/interns, He may have never touched them during their production, but they are Warhols.

I can't think of a muddier more confusing world. "eye of the beholder" has a whole different meaning to the money launderer.

Trump disclosed the money made from the licensing deal with the NFTs. When has a Biden ever disclosed, reported or paid taxes on his "deals".

Remember Trump golf clubs, hotels, steaks, tv show, etc?? All licensing deals all disclosed all through transparent channels.

Are you suggesting the WHO bought all the NFTs? Have a source for that?

I sourced the Hunter Biden art deal shadiness. Do have any support for you (baseless) claims?

NFTs are not art. NFT is a cert of authenticity for what someone is buying. In this case, trading cards which I consider more trinket / collectible than "art".
